Probably not really the right forum to ask this question but I wouldn't expect there to be any problems since most everything that runs on Win7 or newer will run on Windows10 as well they just run better if redone for it.

Did you have to reinstall everything on your Hard drive? Or does the update keep your files intact?

Windows 10 is, pretty much, Windows 8.2

Incremental improvement, rather than anything fundamental.

They just bumped the version number up because of marketing. (ditto how 7 and Vista were fundamentally similar. Vista just had a very bad name from the initial deployment problems)

Woo! CSM XI!

Windows 10 is version 6.3.10240 (Windows 8 and 8.1 are sharing the same kernel major version a.k.a 6).
And to the point, I just installed EVE on Windows 10 and it's running smoothly.

It is running on Win10 without any differences. Why did people say this is the wrong forum to discuss this? It does say EVE tech lab..

Personally, I had to revert back to Windows 7 because there are no drivers for the video cards, (ATI Radeon HD 3450,) I have been using for several years now to play EVE on...other than that, the upgrade to the 'official' version worked okay on this rig.

The only issue i had with w10 - was that the launcher wouldn't run corrctly, and it seemed that the upgrade had taken rights from the folder, so simply gave 'auth users' access to the launchers and now it works fine 'n 'dandy :)

Sorry for long response. I'm back from vacation Blink
SQL server(2014 Express) install freezes somewhere at 50%. Had to reboot comp then uninstall everything and try again. I did 5 times and i gave up. I couldn't find solutions in the internet.

Maybe your .NET 3.5/4.0 got corrupt (SQL Server depends on that). Try uninstall and reinstall from Windows Turn features on/off. If that doesn't work post back and I'll send you a link to a .NET cleanup tool.

I did upgrade to 10 again. Strange thing happened. First upgrade was like "clean install" with old account with documents. Had to install everything, But after this second upgrade, win 10 has already installed programs from win 7 so i don't have to install sql+vs again. everything works great :)

My experience upgrading to Win10 from 8.1 wasn't the best. Upgrade failed without reconfiguring the boot section. So I had to format the partition and clean install Win10 on it. No serious damage was done though as I keep all my sensitive data on other partitions. Having a machine (laptop) with 2 HDD's, both bootable, is a "life" saver. Not to mention that my dev environment is kept on a VM which has 2 pros. 1. It's portable 2. Keeps my machine OS partition smaller.

multiple tests have been done by people all over the internet and have concluded that Windows 10 actually gives a gamer a slight advantage over windows 8 and 7.
