Call for additional invul period for newly claimed structures/systems

Actually overall I like the fozzie sov changes. The mechanics mean our players a getting more involved with the alliance goals and need to be a bit more proactive with their piloting.

The biggest gripe that's blighted my alliance, following successful sov capture is as follows:

When a structure is captured/destroyed and a new one onlined there are no defence bonuses applied to that system. This means that alliances, who may have just spent several hours capturing nodes, are sometimes immediately forced to deal with an 18 hour vulnerability window. This has resulted in troll groups passing through at the complete opposite of the alliances prime time (AUTZ etc) and putting everything back into RF. Since to invul window is so large this means that an alliance on the opposite TZ could make an unchallenged claim to that sov.

To me this is neither right nor fair on the alliance who has potentially fought for a system and its structures and can result in a sov ping pong match.

Solution for me would be that a newly captured structure or system should be granted at least a 48 hour invulnerability period (or even as high as sov index 1) to allow the capturing alliance to get set up and put an index up that actually reflects the alliances ability to use the space.

Note this should not apply if a system has been defended as that could be potentially open to abuse. CCP could also consider making an exploit to prevent two allied alliances continuously switching sov to keep it invulnerable.

Just a few thoughts!

I think every system/structure that goes through the process should have an invunerable timer ~ possible based on the ADM or indeed a fix time for new captures.

How does the game know if the system was defended or not?

You have to figure out how to keep it from being exploited. Once you do that, your idea is potentially supportable.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Applies to a new structure. Makes it even more important for an attacking force to make sure they don't let their TCU and iHubs get sniped after capping a system.

It makes sense that the system you have been fighting heavily for should be defended for a period of time.

However as FT Diomedes already pointed out, you'd need to find a way to prevent this from being abusable.

Otherwise I like the idea.
