Your flow chart shows how narrow minded your view of Eve is. You can't possibly make an objective assessment on the life left in it.

It's a combination of EVE is dying, make if free to play (probably because he has no job) and make it Hello Kitty Online with optout PvP (probably because he sucks at it, I mean check his killboard, WOW..)

Did it kill league of legends?

LoL is the most successful game in the history of the industry. It makes a very large amount of money, has the highest active population a day (32 million players) and has been around years (and still going strong).

the truth is that i am tired of seeing this like come from people like you.

the real truth is that you got screwed in some highly abusive "pay to win game" and now you think "all free to play games are like that" but it's very very far from the truth.

You and people like you with this line should be ashamed (try a replacement of attributes to intellect)

Please we dont need lol community in eve

No,

Players like to advocate for extreme amounts of abusive, scams, and other crminal-like behavior.
The truth is that the majority of gamers out there dont have their morale compass broken like you, and your political body (and the one your political body comes from).

I'm advocating that we restore balance to the game, by pushing back the criminal abusive a degree, and helping spread out the population so we can see new inventive idea's like redfrog.

You on the other hand (and people like you) want more carebears to scam, kill, and abuse... and while i have my opinions about you and people like you, ultimately what is better for this game is that those "casual pve based players" are catered to over people like you... Because well they make up another 80% or more of the game then people like you do.

and i'd rather have a game full of carebears who know how to treat people and who feed ccp money, then having a bunch of people who are bent on the only objective they have... to destroy the game.

Is that like saying the uneducated are equal to the educated. If so i want to know what world you come from, and how we can make the uneducated of this world we live on more active in making break through like Steven hawking s etc.

Ah.. so its an amalgam of several different redundant threads and is attempting to pass itself off as OC. This seems to be popular these days. I was right not to read it.

I did look at the flow chart as Ned pointed out. I chuckled.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Eve will never die because the core population of the game will never acknowledge that they converted years of their lives to skill points for nothing. But but I typed dank and 420 seven million times during gate camping. That had to mean something. Oh and the cat pictures for god's sake!

Ahh, here it is.

Digital actions in a sandbox with which facilities conflict aren't indicative of a broken moral compass.

An inability to disassociate your own moral and emotional value responses from the actions found there is more of a personal issue with how well you have adjusted to the reality of the place.

The issue is yours mate, not eve's

What about work arounds?

With this system there should not be work around. There is one that comes to mind, but this can be corrected by some technical alterations to eve.

While you're certainly not wrong with your problem analysis - and I'm fairly sure that CCP sees it the same way, hence the new sov system - you're very wrong about workarounds. The number of standing slots for a corp or alliance is already limited and while most entities don't run into this limit, there is already a place in New Eden where that is the case: Providence. We use an out-of-game database, accompanied with additional tools to quickly look up who is who in local, to manage friendly and hostile entities because there are way too many to fit into the currently available standing slots.

On top of that: Given that EVE is a game of alts: what's stopping somebody from creating "Big Corp 1", "Big Corp 2" ... "Big Corp N" and managing the standing towards each other with such out-of-game tools?

Well up to the flow chart you don't really say anything.

I wish I were a rich man. No, seriously, I do, because if I was I would buy CCP (giving all the employees a raise of course, I can afford to be nice if I'm rich lol). I would then order my Developers to implement ALL ideas such as the one this OP has given.

You see, people like this have ideas like this because their ideas work perfectly in their heads, and they don't understand that "in their head" is different from "in reality". We can argue with these people all day, but that arguing will never make their idea fail in their own mind, the best thing we could ever do is SHOW them that it just doesn't work for thousands of gamers the way they foolishly and naively think it would .

If people like the OP knew anything about game design, would they not be designing games, making money and flashing their resumes here like Derek Smart (OK, I'm sorry I mentioned 'making money' and 'Derek Smart' in the same sentence, but y'all know what I mean)?

Of course with many people not even that would work (they would swear my Developers screwed up their fool proof idea in some kind of way.. But as an imaginary rich guy, I don't pay my imaginary CCP employees imaginary Euros to screw up!). But it would shut up most of them I hope.

You missed out the stats on why people start to play eve.

You talk about huge coalitions and criminals killing the game, so please link me to the articles which promote eve as a gigantic sci-fi farm where everyone makes their ISK mining. People sign up because of the colossal fleet fights that make actual RL news sites, and the scams and heists that equate to thousands in RL cash.

You may be right, OP - at least on the possible "solutions". However, large scale coalitions are a big part of what makes Eve Eve. They have existed in this game for about 8 years or so. The possibility to form an empire and to fight gigantic space battles are pretty much the main unique characteristics of Eve.

Take those things away, and you have a different game. It's like saying, that you want to make a Metal Festival more appealing to the masses by playing pop music and banning moshpits. (Oh, wait - this is actually happening in places...)

So what you are suggesting is, to save Eve by killing Eve. Which makes me wonder - what's the point? Those who don't want to play Eve, don't have to play Eve, and if at some point nobody's there anymore who likes the game for what it is, it will be time to let it die and move on to something else.

The work around: Whenever you want another alliance to be blue, but cannot actually set it blue, you have the CEO of that alliance send you a member list. Every member of all the allied alliances keep a list of the pilots that are allies. Before shooting anyone, they manually check the pilot name against that list.

Alternatively, before shooting anyone, you get info on that pilot and see what alliance they are in, to see if they are on your manually kept blue list.

This is possible, but tiresome, to do manually. Hence your changes will not really change anything, just add busy work. In the far future we should have computers that are capable of doing this automatically.
