Hello I'm thinking about setting-up a instant locking protest or vexor. Or if it's even possible

Before attempting I decided to ask the pro's

Slap enough sebos on her and I'm sure it could work.

Better option would be the legion as one of its subs actually facilitates this whereas this isn't the case with the proteus

Proteus is to instalocking what Legion is to cloaky dps...Wasn't made for it.

Proteus already has range bonuses to point and scram range anway, so a boost to scan res would be a bit much.

Either just go with a Legion, or fit your Proteus for long point, facemelty dps as anything but that would be a waste of isk.

No idea about the Vexor.

I thought it was lokis for instalockers?

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

Both Loki's and Legions make for good insta lockers. Even if you can't fly them you can use a Gnosis to instalock to very good effect.


The problem with trying to put a proteus on a Legions or Loki's level of scan res would mean sacrificing a proteus' rare mid slots, and getting rid of some tank as to get to near instalocking levels you would need to add signal amps (Or whatever lowslot mod that increases scan res) as well Sebo's.


It's ultimately not worth it. I would stick to a Gnosis until you can use a more appropriate T3.

Sorry if this is outside the scope of what you're interested in, but you can always have a friend/alt in a remote sensor boosting ship.

Depends on what you're doing of course, but I had good luck doing that to get the scan res of a proteus where I wanted it.
