Yet another wasted thread about : capital changes.

Situation raised multiple times, we can really hope that some from CCP care to respond .

Carriers and super carriers are fine - they operate in the way every one expects them to do.
I suggest to even boost them , give each carrier and super carrier bonus to local reps based on specific HP points number - so local reps are more effective - more pure HP you have.

Now when every one are in state : WTF , let me rephrase this again.

Single Carrier or super carrier is not the issue, but rest of his dozens (or more) friends on grid and remote reps they receive from each other.
Main problem is in this reps , that elevate ships needed just to brake them to grid braking lag.
This is what need to be fixed , so again.

Lets boost carriers and mother ships that they get local rep bonus based on HP points they have ( excluded resists), at the same time lets fix this hulls by introducing significant nerf to received remote reps , lets say that all remote AID received by carriers and super carriers is reduced to 5% of amount projected.

This will solve many issues in current game design.

Or just remove RR bonus from supers? or make them go into a siege mode to use fighter bombers

What removing ability to use RR for supers will change? Nothing.

You will just 50 slowcats and 25 supers to win most of unexpected timers - bigger fight , double the numbers , triple them.
Carriers will be repairing supers doing most of the damage.

Now think about carriers and super carriers that cannot count on remote aid , but have big bonus to local repair systems.

Armor ones double buffed :
- slave set to increase the EHP , and raw armor hp number that will boost local rep even more

Shield ones 2nd buff :
- crystals ( yes crystals affecting capital ships) , smaller ehp , but similar local reps , and boost at the beginning of the cycle , and other stuff


Problem is not in a single super or a carrier.

Just how remote reps brake every thing.
You can still drop 100 carriers to rep tackled super doing something stupid, but this whole fleet will count like current 5 carriers doing the same stuff.

You will need to traige carriers to save this super, and the carriers will die.


ps.
Forgot triage module, we will need to nerf local rep bonus , but this will be minor change.

This is very easy to implement ( from my perspective ) as if specific hull is affected , all remote AID is reduced to 5%.
