I came across an interesting thought...


CONCORD punishes players after they break the law, aye? They don't prevent them from breaking the law, like ganking, they only punish them after it's been committed.


CODE. punishes players for breaking THEIR laws. They don't prevent autopilot and likewise AFK-Bot behavior. They just punish them for it.


I don't know if the amount of alcohol I've consumed that makes this amazing to me, or it's just neat little clever thing.


But CODE. Is literally CONCORDS evil twin.

In that one video, where the CONCORD guy was looking worried at the screen and the narrator said something like "The empires are losing their grasp on power", who do you think they where talking about?

Anti-ganking tries to punish players after they break the law, aye? They never prevent ganking or breaking of the law, they try to punish them after it's been committed.

So, AG is like CONCORD and CODE.s derpy little brother who tries SO DAMN hard but can never quite be as good as his brothers.

I'm not saying that I'm some sort of PvP prodigy. My killboard's really shabby, but at least I have a few legit kills there.

Zero skill? try doing some ganking for a bit. get a suicide gank off in the face of hall monitors. Then come back and tell me there was no skill involved. I'll grant you its not a nuclear physics degree, but nor is it getting to level 30 in wow either :P

You are making that oh so common mistake of assuming all of Code. are gankers. Do take the time to research before you speak out..or you risk looking like a fool. Nothing personal against you...but it's yet another uninformed opinionated, rhetorical assumtion..which in incorrect. Blink

And like it or not, ganking is a form of PVP that requires a high degree of skill, which you'd know if you'd ever tried it. I don't know anyone that didn't FUBAR their first attempt and fail completely, I don't know anyone that hasn't failed a ganks even after getting experience at it, and unlike PVP in lowsec, you ALWAYS lose what you're ganking with. The only place where a gank is not a legit kill is in your own subjective opinion, but it's as legit as any other form of ship combat PVP and the sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll understand why EVE needs it as much as any other PVP.

Killboards speak more to experience to me than actual ability, and based on yours, you have very little PVP experience. At the end of the day, experience is worth a lot more than ability, because you can develop a better understanding of the nature of EVE with more experience, but ability just lets you win more fights. And I'm sorry, but until you've got more experience yourself, you really aren't in any position for your opinion on what is and is not legit PVP to matter to anyone.
