You say noone uses A/Cs on it. I provided links saying otherwise.

Up until recently you couldnt fit 1400s on a Vargur. Most Arty ships require a PG rig and/or a RCU to properly fit Arty.

I was advocating more pwg for arty varg as well with tools saying it is ok for vargur to not be able to fit arty weapons while other marauders could fit whatever the hell they wanted.

Apparently they lost that argument

I don't like high pwgrd requirements my self.

Good luck with that. We've been pushing for this on the Raven, Raven Navy and Golem for well over a year now (when the preliminary rapid heavy launcher specs were revealed, actually). What about something like a 7.5% bonus to target painter effectiveness per level on the Fleet Typhoon instead?

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Then you get a somewhat watered down golem with armor, that is trying to be a scorpion (read ewar bs).

I would love to see this bonus on a raven, I might actually PvP in one. It would set it apart from the phoon aside from shields, and give players a reason to use it in a meta dominated by cruisers.

Really, I would like to see application bonuses to all bs, even if it was small (read very small). It might get more players out in them.
Although I'm not sure it would stop any of the whine threads. Or maybe it would switch them to the other camp.

Either way I like to PvP in bs, something about players forgetting just how powerful they really are.

Just going to throw in my 0.02 ISK..

I use a Fleet Typhoon for Level 4 Missions and W-Space, I have used both a 800mm AC fit, and my favourite RHML (Cruise Missiles are a close 3rd), and while Missiles are better for PvE (No tracking issues, ability to choose damage type) and for PvP I have seen RHML on Fleet Typhoons used to amazing levels, but I have seen them using AC's before, a few YouTube videos, not so much for Solo work, but more for Small Gang/Fleet work, it has one good strength over the Missile variant, as it is (Transversal and Velocity willing) able to blap Frigates and get past 'Firewalls', also, AC's give it a bit of a surprise punch, as people will assume it has Missiles equip and might disable their MWD (Lowering Velocity) or come in close knowing that range and transversal don't make a difference to Missiles, and then they might get in Web range, then they die, so I like it for those reasons, and you can fit 1200mm Howitzers on it, I have seen a fit, forget the details, but it was a MJD fit one, and it was built to be a Null Sec sniper Nanophoon, and I heard he got good results, so I guess Arty has a use on it, though I wouldn't recommend it on a Typhoon as the Typhoon is a fast semi brawler (How I see it used at least), because of it's massive tank or a drive by ship, because of it's base speeds, however I may be wrong, my only PvP experience with these is watching YouTube videos.

But as for the bonus, I like it, it adds some diversity, and Minmatar are all about that, so it is great as far as I am concerned, another Missile Buff would be way to overpowered, and a Drone Buff, well.. If I wanted to fly Drones I'd use Amarr or Gal, Minmatar are about fast moving, explosions and being awesome! Drones have never been something they have focused on, lore and gameplay wise, and what is the point of flat out removing a buff with nothing to replace it? There is no point.. Just leave it for those people who like to have fits that are fun or not FOTM, cause honestly, if we give it more Missile/Drone Buffs, it would replace the Rattlesnake.

But think about what a brawling 800mm AC Typhoon can do with 5 Heavy Drones? That thing will shred anything!

Side note: Personaly, putting Arty on anything other then Thrashers and Tornados makes me sad, they are strongest on those platforms and make the most sense on those ships, cause things with that much firepower should have really small EHP buffers, makes logical sense, for example, picture the biggest man made cannon ever built/thought of, now.. Tell me what else it did but make big holes in the ground? Tell me how it moved, how it defended itself, how accurate it was..

Exactly.. The Typhoon is unique, and no 2 ships in EVE, in my opinion, should be almost identical, (i.e. You want to fly Drones and Missiles, then go Geddon or Rattlesnake, you want to Dual Box missions? RR Ishtars/Domi, want to Neut out Logi? Go Geddon, want to Snipe and tank like a mountain? Go Rohk's, Apoc's, and Abbadon's, want to EWAR? Use a Scorp, want to Rep 2000 DPS? Go a Hyperion, want to hit from 250km? Go a Raven or Naga, and the list goes on, the Typhpoon is pretty much unique in the line up, most ships have a twin of some sort (i.e. Hyperion is to Mael, Rohk is to Abaddon, Domi is to Geddon, ect.) and we have enough of those, the ship performs just as well as a missile boat as it does now with that RoF bonus for Projectiles as it would if they removed.

Anyways, my 0.02 ISK, though I do get what you mean, but if someone in the entirety of EVE uses it, then it is by definition not useless, I don't use a Rohk, I think the Resist bonus is useless on a Sniper boat, does that mean I am right? No, it doesn't means I am very short sighted.

Example:

Guy 1: Hey guys, lets get a fleet together, XYZ Alliance is bringing a Fleet Typhoon Doctrine, let's set up the 'Firewall' here and have some high DPS/Volley Rails/Beam/Arty behind them.
Guy 2: Yeah!
Guy 3: THEY HAVE GUNS!
Gun 1 & 2: WTF? THEY HAVE AUTOCANNONS?
Guy 3: They have our DPS Webbed!
Guy 1: Retreat!
Guy 2: They are under our guns!
Guy 1: Transversal is too high!
Guy 2: They are using Thermal ammo!
Guy 3: Carrier! Mobile Depot now! Switch Hardeners to Thermal Focus!
Guy 2: They switch Ammo, hitting into my hole now!
Guy 1: Warp out, warp out!

This was just something I felt like doing, EVE is a game at it's core, and it is meant to have fun, where is the fun when everything only has 1 viable fit? Warhammer is that way, just behind CoD and Mech Assault, nothing is useless if you have the mind to make it work, once upon a time, RR Domi's and Prophecies were considered stupid, so were RR Gangs when the idea's first hit the Web,so were other Doctrines and ideas, and guess how they turned out? Most are stable Doctrines, when people thought they would all suck, so leave it, it could possible become something of a massive Buff in the future if AC's get a Buff, or if a new gun types come out, or something like that, you never know!
