In order to avoid taxes and war decs I'd like to make own own 1-man corp but I have no experience with how it's done. Is it possible? What do I need to make it work?

Thanks

And, no guarantee of avoiding wardecs.

In fact, I'd venture to say that at least 50% of the people reading your post have made a note of your name and will dec you the day you form your new corp.

A one man corp isn't really a way to avoid wardecs — it's a way of inviting them.

That aside, the evelopedia corp management guide tells you pretty much all you need to know to begin with. To actually create the corp, all you need is the skill and 1-2M ISK; to take full advantage of it, you need to apply a bit of wit as well, but nothing overly hard.

You are correct.

While this may be a tad blunt, you are simply not worth anyones time...at the moment. As long as you keep low key, you'll always fall into the "not worth the hassle" category. Do anything that gets you noticed though, and people will come sniffing around for you.

Corp management to 1, then 1.5 million isk start up fee. You're really only doing it to avoid the 11% taxes on missions, if you are trying to avoid war-decs stay in an NPC corp.

You can hop into an alliance to avoid the wardec. The wardec mechanics are broken. Avoiding them is simple.

Some enterprising people will allow you to join their alliance for a small fee.

You should take advantage of the broken mechanics, in the hope that it will convince CCP to finally fix them.

What a pile of crap!

If being in peoples faces or making waves on the forum got you wardeced, I'd never be leaving my station. My station being Duripant VII - Moon 6 - Federal Navy Academy School, by the way. My corp has a total of me in it.

No... a one man corp is about as safe as it gets in this game. And no tax on top of it. Don't listen to the fools. Just do it. Takes about five minutes to set one up.

Win/win

my one man corp (not the corp I am currently in) was war-decced by some random corp a few weeks ago.

Incidentally I had run missions in a shiny (faction/deadspace-fitted) Paladin for a few days just before the war-dec did hit.
Incidentally the war-deccer spends a lot of time in/near that mission hub.

Nobody really likes the idea of accepting the NPC corp taxes (and maybe even having to close his corp due to not having a suitable alt that can take it over) and I can imagine that quite a few people are willing to run missions while local is clear even when war-decced. In a populated system you are never going to identify the enemy's neutral scouting/probing alts.
Also quite a few mission runners are bots who might ignore/react poorly to war-decs and hostiles.

(I took the opportunity to load up my carrier and spend a holiday in Stain until the war-dec had expired.)

Yeah, no doubt someone will try to screw me over sooner or later. But if that happens I can just make an alt CEO and drop corp while they wage war on an alt that never leaves station or use DecShield, which is now considered legal again and is free to boot last i checked.
