Started Expedition dissappear after DT

Hi everyone o/

I have a question about Expeditions and downtime. Answers not found in this closed topic Sad

The last answers is interresting, but, in my case, not true.

I got a 7/10 DED expedition yesterday. I cleared 3 pockets on 5 this morning (EUTZ)
* DOWNTIME *
After this downtime, my expedition is still available in my journal, but when i warp on the location... nothing, no accel gate.
I warp to the MTU i left in the 3rd pocket thinking maybe it's just the "entry gate" who dissapeared, but this is a non sense.

Confirmed : the third pocket / accel gate dissapear too, there's just a lonely MTU.
And no trace of any empty wrecks.

Question : is this normal ? A started DED must be finished before DT ? It's a bug ?

Sounds like a bug, submit a bug report and make sure to include screen shots of the journal entry but no expedition.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Once you get the escalation, you have 24 hours to complete it. Once those 24 hours are complete, the site immediately despawns. I have even had it despawn while I was sitting inside it.

In the past, you could extend the timer by warping to the site, but this is no longer the case.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Well, in the past I used to run missions before DT without leaving enough time, and upon logging back in to complete it, the mission pocket(s) had completely vanished. Sometimes after I left the system and warped to it a few minutes later, it re-appeared, but more often than not I had to send a ticket asking for a GM to reset the mission for me.

Whether or not you can ask for the same with an escalation, I don't know, but if you can't get it to respawn, that might be your only option.

Timer is still active (8 hours left,) and expedition still in journal. I gonna report it and tell you informed.

Nevermind, i just undock and my DED is back (message on warp-in and accel gate on land \o/ ).

I think server need up to 1 hour to set up all the things after DT.

Problem solved !

edit : the Escalation reset to zero, 1st pocket is full of NPCs.

This is normal for post DT. As long as you do not complete the escalation (usually by killing the final boss or final structure), it should fully respawn after DT.

PS - did you warp to the wrong bookmark when you tried it the first time? Blink

Nope, i warped on the escalation location through the notification in journal.

That happens from time to time. Sometimes deadspace environments like complexes and mission rooms tend to be iffy in respawning properly immediately after DT ends, even when they should according to timers and trigger statuses involved. I've noticed in the past for a long time that sometimes they tend to take a bit to get spawned back in correctly. This seems to be especially true if you happen to be in the site when DT initiates and kicks you out of Eve, followed by the subsequent E-warp back to the site or it's entrance if there is one (Edit: or if you happen to have a deployable on grid with one of it's rooms). Seems similar to the reports of players running sites and then leaving grid, but the site sometimes get stuck in limbo and can't despawn properly.

Best thing to do is possibly screen cap you being where the site ought to be with journal open to show it should still be active and is not completed yet. That way, if the timer happens to run out before you've had a chance to run or finish it due to a spawn issue like this, you have more to throw at a bug report to get the site reset. Relogging once or twice when not near or in the site seems to help at times.

CCP has done a lot of changes in this game recently, not to mention incorporated numerous little bugs into the system with those changes.

When I posted that statement over 5 months ago, that was the normal state of Expedition sites at that time. Obviously since missions get reset with Downtime, I'm inclined to think that in order to fix the issue that you posted, CCP has fixed it by using the game mechanic pertaining to mission status at Downtime.

Or it could be what Sobaan Tali posted above.

I'm sure if the Expedition timer got buggy and started resetting back to 24 hrs again after warping to Expedition sites, I highly doubt anybody would complain about it. I know I certainly wouldn't.

No, that's not normal operation. That's how it use to be for quite a while before CCP decided to change the mechanics of Exploration site downtime resets and the Expedition warp to site timer resets.

As I said earlier, this sounds like Mission game mechanics are being used to fix issues pertaining to Expedition game mechanics.

My timer hasn't reset, it was only the Expedittion its self (meh, moar Bounties Lol ).
