Manufacturing a POS

A Few Quick questions:


Looking at manufacturing some small control towers for profit from a BPO

1) Do I need to build these in a station? Or can I manufacture them in my own pos, and if so with what assembly array?

I searched the forums but the info I was coming up with was quite dated so I thought I'd ask to see if anything had changed over the last few years.

2) With the upcoming changes in structures, (Which i gathered may take up to 3 years...) is it worth building towers when they will become obsolete in this speculated time frame?

1) I think you can use your own POS, the equipment assembly lists Starbase unter manufacturing, so I guess that should work for towers and other pos modules. Not sure though.

2) Not sure when the new structures are will go live, until there is an official announcement, go with POS towers. As long as they sell, I see no reason not to build them.

Don't get stuck holding stock when they are deleted.

Personally, I've been selling all my excess starbase structures, and pruning my POS of unnecessary modules. I still have a significant amount on the market that just doesn't sell.

I can confirm this is correct. I personally have decided against producing towers due to the upcoming changes. It will basically be a gamble to see if they are profitable in the long run.
