Client keeps crashing

Anyone got any idea on this:

When running two clients, each on a separate monitor one or both will occasionally crash, in particular when running incursions on my alt in the HQ's.

I've tried to workaround it by reinstalling, repairing, turning graphics down and making sure internet connection was stable etc.. Done a fresh install of Windows 7 , latest Nvidia drivers, all windows updates applied and all that jazz. I did find in event viewer this error after each occasion with varying numbers of times it has failed:

Application ExeFile.exe locked the primary surface 102 time(s). Oops

What does this mean and how should i fix my eve client to stop it happening again?

and yes I've submitted a bug report an dxdiag etc.

I should add that the clients don't eve close themselves most of the time. I've turned Aero off... in-fact ive tried everything i can think of, I've dc'd at least 15 times in the last hour just now.
