Hi all, just curious here.

Is anyone running Eve on the new MacBook? The one with the USB-C only port?

My Early 2011 MBP has spat the dummy and I'm trying to see if it can be replaced under the graphics issue that has plagued this model. But if that's unsuccessful then I guess I'm going to have to get another one.

If the new MacBook can run Eve with no issues then I'm more than happy to go with that machine but if not then I'll have to go with maybe a MacBook Air or spend the extra and go for the MacBook Pro again.

The thing is, since getting my iPhone 6 Plus my laptop needs have dropped but I still need a laptop for some things such as the running of Eve.

I am curious about this as well, I've been looking into getting a 2nd laptop for 'general use' and may just buy one to find out if it will anyhow. That or see if I can install it on a machine at the Apple Store next time I'm there >.>

Actually i just bought a Macbook 12" Retina 2 days ago and ofc tried Eve on it instantly.

Works pretty well so far.

If i turn down some settings to medium and some off i get around 45 fps in station and a bit more in space when there arent like a trillion players.

So its very well playable.

Ditto to this. It runs, just don't expect miracles. The MacBook is a low power device and games are some of the most punishing things you can do from a power perspective. It'll run EVE just fine so long as you keep your settings in check.
