Launcher error

When I open the launcher I get an error message with a huge chunk of text (below) and two buttons:
OK
Start EvE

Click OK & the launcher just sits there not updating.
Click Start EvE and the game runs but you have to log in again from the game (rather as one did before the launcher)

I've re-installed the launcher to no effect. I've run the repair tool & that's made no difference.

Anyone else getting this?

Yep, I'm getting the same. Then if I do logon, the game is incredible laggy.... never had lag before...

EDIT:
Run the launcher in Administrative Mode... runs smooth....

Yup same for me. I'm a steam user that plays Eve. Because of that I don't know my name and pass. It usually never asks for it.

Im getting the same thing exactly... and as well with the lag, its not just lagging, i DC pretty often now through the old launcher after pressing "Start EVE" button. I never liked this launcher, just another step to ruin the lengthy login process now. Please fix or gimmie some suggestion here at least CCP. No replies yet....

After finding the launcher settings, the compatibility mode, previously off anyways, does not have Windows 10. So the Vista service pack 2 that apparently was being used, is no good anymore but no compatibility, even for the troubleshooter to search for. It does seem to work when I run the launcher directly as an administrator, but again, just another step to the process of logging in. I guess if this solves my lagging/DC issue, ill be content for now, but would really like to see EVE work more fluid with a Op system thats been being pushed and given away so heavily since creation... thanks for your input or responses CCP.

Update.... using the launcher.exe with administrator, I now get a yes or no option pop-up with " The EVE Launcher cannot update a directory from which processes are running. Please close the following process : ccpbrowser.exe" The yes option does nothing, and the no option sends me to a launcher that loads but does not update. I cannot log in, once again, at this point
In task manager, the ccp processes that are running are CCP Web Browser processes. If I restart my computer, this tends to stop, but the game itself is a lot slower than it should be still, and pretty much any in-game link that i try to pull up on the browser, or even just opening the browser itself lags out my game client and never pulls the page up. This is to the point that I have to spam the close button. Once terminating the processes, the launcher will update and i can log in again. Just dont feel like I should have to do all of that to log in. Pretty tired of trying to figure this out.

Next step is getting the game file from a friend, and booting directly from his file after i download it. Try and go around my entire file all together.

I'm getting pretty much the same since updating to Windows 10.

IOError: [Errno 13] Permission denied: u'C:\\ProgramData\\CCP\\EVE\\SharedCache\\resfileindex_prefetch_md5
(continues for quite a bit afterwards)

Reinstalling the client did jack, reinstalling it to a different drive didn't help, either. I can connect using exefile.exe, but the repair tool gives me errors when running it.

EDIT:
I could resolve the launcher issues by deleting the two md5-files in the shared cache folder. It seems to work now.
