No! Don't install it! M$ invited Bill Gates in to implement a subroutine into win10 to carry out his plan for population control. He gave up on spiked vaccinations to curve birth rates etc in favor to eliminate the entire human race to the point of 0 by making them wait on tech support. This is why M$ slogan is "Windows 10 will be the last OS upgrade you'll ever need." Because you are all - going - to - diiie!!! Shocked

I'm in it for the money

I installed windows 10 last night.

Eve works fine.

My downstairs toilet clogged and I had to plunger it. Clearly karma related to my lack of issues with windows 10

Everything moved as per usual

However the command line (which the UI to is greatly improved), remains the same so .. Two batch files later, all nicely configured

For me, it appeared to hang on launching, and after much troubleshooting, i went off for half an hour, when I came back I heard it starting. After that it Has loaded normally. So If you think eve is broken, give it some time. This was on an intel I3 with SSD so your wait may be longer or shorter.

On 2 boxes since i was in the test cycles.

an older intel core 2 duo +nvidia 560 and an intel i7 with nvidia 670. Both machines work fine.
Eve runs on both.
btw isboxer works too.

No issues to report on from me at least.
Quite liking it so far. Big smile

hard to say is this real but I can run 2 clients max settings when with win7 had to have other client on performance settings to have +60fps

No problems for me either--once I got past the "something happened" error when trying to install.

Short update from last nights test on the Windows 7 machine, the 'Media Creation Tool' did the update fine but it would not activate, however it did activate this afternoon so all is good.

Just had to download and install Nvidia 353.62 drivers as the auto update and installer got in a bit of a panic and screwed things up, all is now well and we are flying.

So far I am quite pleased with the experience I have had with my upgrades to Win10. Started with an older Win7 system as a guinea pig and worked my up to my other machines fully expecting something to go amiss as I went but so far it seems everything went smoothly. *knock on wood*

Running windows 10 on a spare hard drive with Eve works fine and ran fine with the beta win 10 as well

Windows 10 is now supported for use with Eve. Some Windows 10 users have reported an issue with unacceptably reduced frame rates when they run Eve from a non-administrator account. Running the Eve launcher as administrator should resolve this issue, if it should occur.

Same here, Windows 10 has been nothing but smooth for me so far. It's a top notch OS and is right up there with the quality of Windows 7 and Windows XP. It's a huge step up from how Windows 8 and 8.1 turned out. Don't be too afraid to make the switch though I do recommend installing it on a separate partition or on a computer that isn't important for you to get work done on just in case you don't like it or aren't able to be as productive with it at first. It certainly isn't perfect and it needs some updates to include some key features but I'd still say it's a pretty good upgrade from Windows 7.

Edit: Wanted to add that it's also a nice refreshing look for Windows aesthetically so this is something I was quite happy about.

After the initial upgrade my R9 270X card was no longer detected. The PC hangs on "shutting down" and didn't shut down even when left for over 8 hrs and there were crashes.

The Win10 recovery feature could not fix issues so in the end I had to use the Reset to factory win10 option and whilst it has removed pretty much all my games and other programs its working pretty well. Except that after shutting down it mysteriously boots back up......

Seems smooth but has far to many compatibility issues to be an official release. I would advise people to wait a while until programs etc are properly compatible before doing the upgrade.

Upgraded the windows disk on my Mac Pro 12 core to Windows 10 Professional.

Upgrade went smoothly, no problems with it running in native EFI mode on the mac. I did need to reload the apple bootcamp hardware drivers after the update, and also had to reload the nvidia geforce driver.

Those of you that upgrade, and will NOT be backing out to your old windows, can use Disk Cleanup (type it into search) to remove all the junk upgrade files, including 18+ gig of the previous windows files. After cleanup, defrag C, and your golden.

So far, EVE works perfectly, I'm averaging 180-200 fps in station or undocked on high quality at 2560x1600 resolution. Not bad for an older GTX 680 2gig vid card.

Very happy with Windows 10 so far, hope everybody with older versions considers it, its a worthy upgrade!

Remember after the upgrade your video drivers will be disabled and running in default basic mode. You must download and install the newest win10 video card drivers from AMD or Nvidia after the update is finished.

Upgraded two nights ago from Win. 7

No probs with the install and is running smooth as silk. All my programs are good to go including EVE.

I'm really liking win. 10 so far. I'm really liking the app based UI but having the familiarity of the old UI makes things less agrivating.

Two thumbs up so far.

Just got Windows 10 and tried EVE. Game seems to run fine, but the sound is incredibly quiet. Youtube videos have correct sound, have not tried any other games yet to see if those are quiet as well.

Also volume mixer shows EVE as being set to the same level as everything else.

[Edit] Tried Luftrausers on steam, and the sound worked normally for that. EVE is still very quiet.
