I tried but never could get reliable results with the mac version off and on over the last 6 months. Ended up going through bootcamp using Windows 7 Pro early on. Still keep the mac version loaded though because it's handy if I need to check something, a contract, skill, etc.

Certainly love the game though. It's just a quick overview of my personal experience with the MAC version. Not a problem though running in bootcramp.

As I won't put that PC virus on my pretty shiny overpriced goodness. I can't say much for the PC version

On the Mac side.
I have had less issues than many people
Biggest problem I have of late is the IGB being a dork. Using it to fast locked everything up, and then having to go in and personally kill wine server b/c it doesn't quit when I have to force quit the app.

For the most part - I have had a problem here and there but nothing ever super major.
Run low graphics - Cider doesn't support most of the better stuff any way.
Be careful with how "fast" you use the IGB.

Play window mode - just invade something breaks you can access other things faster to kill EVE and get back in game before you popped by that ganker
