Gallente Epic Arc - Studio 1

Is it possible to complete this with a Tengu solo? If so, can someone recommend a good fit? I have read that the incoming dps is 2000/sec and that at least some of it is explosive. I could add more tank if I could ignore the EM hole for this fight.

I also read that a Golem in bastion mode cannot tank this so I was also surprised to hear that someone had done it in a Tengu, but they didn't post their fit.

I have a Golem, Vargur and Paladin but it would be nice to do the arcs in ship as convenient as a Tengu to move around.

Thanks for your help!

According to this they only do Therm / Kin.
This doesn't notate any explosive damage either.

More information than you ever wanted to know about the Studio One mission.

The explosion damage is from the "showtime" mission iirc.

You shouldn't have any problems in a good fit T3 Cruiser with max skills.

I used a T2 rigged Faction/Deadspace fit Tech 3 Cruiser (Loki) with active shield tank, close range projectiles and Drones.

T3 Cruiser's actually have more defense, a smaller signature, more speed and faster agility than a Command Ship which is what I actually used to start the Arc. However T3 Cruiser's also have lower DPS output but are still able to kill the NPC's, just takes a bit longer.

I had no problems with Mission 16 - Studio 1 - after taking out all EWAR Frigates and Cruisers. Studio 1 station has very large tank (HP's) so it takes a while to destroy it. Just gotta keep your ship moving while running the mission. I've done both the blitz option and also destroyed all NPC's to complete that mission.

If you're worried about tanking the incoming DPS then destroy all NPC's when they first spawn starting with the EWAR. If you're not worried then just do the Blitz option.

Thanks guys, that was really helpful.

My subsystems and core skills are all 5 but I have some 4's in my missile skills. I will fit a ship up and see how it goes.

I think it will be fun to use the Tengu for epic arcs. Dragging the marauders all around Eve is both cumbersome and a gank risk. I prefer to leave them in my quiet mission pockets where I have flagged every ganking corp as red and i know the locals.

That fit looks very similar to the fit I used to use when I ran those missions. Should work.

DMC will know best.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

Some missions in epic arcs offer to deal with about 2000 incoming DPS indeed, however (and it is pointed out in EVE survival and can be extracted from chruker guides) you can avoid facetanking everything either by range or sig/speed. That may require you to grind through most of ships even when blitz is possible. Which is kinda unfortunate because for some reason it's usually missions that don't have rats with bounties in them, so you'd rather want to blitz them when possible.

Or you could fly a Marauder and laugh at the EWAR and DPS, and complete the mission quicker.

Thanks, unfortunately I only fly Minmatar / Angel ships but that fit looks like it has plenty of DPS, I'd be just a little bit concerned with the active tank though. Even with a Shield Boost Amplifier II, the Pithi A-Type Small Shield Booster might not be able to rep enough points if it get's swamped by NPC's. One good thing about missiles - they're long range weapons that helps the defensive tank.
