EVE Online Error Client Installation on Mac

I'm trying to help my buddy install the game on his Mac client.

He's getting this error that says "EVE Online Error" with the option to Terminate or Open Console.

Any tips or pointers here? I'm more of a windows guy myself.

Nothing yet from CCP. I and several others are having this issue. I have tried on several macs so its not just you :@)

Based on the rash of other threads here I'd say that this is a new problem. I haven't seen any information from CCP acknowledging it, nor any workarounds.

I'd go to the Bug Report page (you have to be logged in to use it) and fill out as much as you know. It might be worth copying and pasting the relevant text from the Console.
