Tools for EVE Online

So basically I have been making some interesting tools (primarily for myself and friends) for EVE Online and I would like to share them with you here.

Just a quick disclaimer or two, the application in question all require quite a lot of permissions, however that is because the application can be made to do many other things than what I have set them up as, so you can rest easy knowing there are no unauthorized dealings going on in the background.Attention Also these applications of mine are in no way endorsed by CCP and all logos and copyrights for CCP and EVE Online belong to CCP not myself.

Right now that's over with lets talk EVE:

ArrowNew Eden News (still in Alpha) (over 6000 downloads!)

This application is an all in one news app for all news relating to EVE Online, with it you can read all about the latest and greatest news/podcasts & sh!tposts of EVE.

Quick Recap:

  • All the best news sources listed
  • EVE podcasts
  • EVE videocasts
  • Livestreams such as New Eden Radio
  • Utilities such as Jackknife, EVE Scout, EVE Central, EVE Now, Tripwire & more
  • Official EVE channels such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Google+


If you want to use EVE News however do not have an android then you can check out the portfolio page to see when the other platforms of EVE News will be released.

Also there is a Facebook & Twitter for EVE News in case you want to follow the news there instead of the application.

ArrowEVE Incursion Warrior
This application is exactly what you thought it was, its a simple app that will notify you of incursions in the different areas of space, it will tell you when they go up and when they go down.

As someone who has done incursions its a nice thing to have at hand. I would like to thank Dotlan for making that possible.

In this one you can enable or disable the areas of space you do not care about and only receive notifications on the areas you care about.

So I have released a rather nice update for EVE News,

2015-07-17

Streamlining the applications base-code to make it less laggy
Adding new news sources
Added application banner
Added help option under the settings menu, if you need help with anything of questions then that is where it should be going
Added the EVE-Offline.net monitor under utilities
Changed Facebook tab to open up Facebook page in Facebook app (due to Facebook no longer supporting RSS)
Changed Twitter to new reader which reads in-app
Fixed a few small issues with some feeds not syncing
Removed 'light' theme, it causes to many possible problems for me, best to keep to one theme

Listen I just wanted to thank you all for downloading EVE News so much, I mean we are sitting at over 3500 individual downloads of the app and I must say I am really blown away!

When I created this application it was primarily to fill a purpose to myself (as are most of my apps) and I never really thought that the community would be that interested in it. You have proven me wrong :)

I would like to take this opportunity to ask the community something which has been on my mind about a particular application, this application in question is called EVE Forum Warrior. Basically what it does is it lists the available sections on the EVE forum and retrieves the available RSS feeds from them so that you can see when someone posts a new topic and such, however because of the way EVEs forum works it can get up to 700+ entries for a single section of the forum, and this can be draining on the internet of your mobile device.

It is because of this reason I have not yet released this application to the community. However I feel that some people (like myself) would want to use such an application even though it has high data transfer amounts. However I will not let myself be the deciding vote here.

UPDATE: Due to WarpToZero closing, this vote has been put on hold until a later date.

The IOS is unlightly because of the development costs relating to Apple.
However a Windows one may not be out of the question, however since I have not developed for Windows phones I would not be able to say for sure. I will look into it!

HELLO ALL Lol

So unfortunately Sad due to Microsoft being 'pants-on-head' stupid the publication of the Windows version of EVE News and EVE Incursion Warrior has been put on indefinite hold until they decide to fix their developer website.

Sorry about that guys I really wanted to give you those apps, unfortunately it is out of my hands.Cry
