Greetings Capsuleers,

I have come to you today with bad news. After a conclusive investigation by myself and members of CODE. leadership, a bug in the database lookup of mining permits was discovered. Although the problem was fixed relatively quickly, some permit holders may have been incorrectly targeted as non compliant, and were subsequently seized and dismantled. The damage is estimated at about 1% of total mining equipment seized over last weekend. If you believe you have been wrongly effected by this error, please do not hesitate to evemail Globby in game with the following information:

-Link of in game kill mail
-Your name
-Your permit ID
-Time of seizure.

On top of the information above, we would like your recollection of the events leading up to your destruction. If you would write a minimum of 1000 words for our review and reimbursement staff that would greatly help us in deciding if your loss is eligible for reimbursement.

Reimbursement will consist of:

-The Jita Market Value (JMV) of the ship at time of loss after payment of platinum insurance
-The cost of platinum insurance for the ship that was seized
-The full JMV of any destroyed cargo during legal seizure of vessel
-One third of JMV of any unaccounted for items that might have been already recovered.

All of us at Cohenberg's Ethical Hauling are deeply sorry for any improperly seized goods and any inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Globby

It is a completely informal assessment of what happened. It gives the victim a chance to defend himself, and it leaves a criminal no room for scamming. It is in a person's best interest to put as much effort as they can into this.

Would this 1000 word recollection of events need to be well articulated, or can the standard rage induced anal dribbling suffice? Also, in regards to 'time of seizure', would that be described as 'the time in which the assets in question were reappropriated' or ' the moment in which they spastically and involuntarily threw their keyboard into their monitor'?

I can confirm the error in question and state that Globby volunteered to handle this matter. It's a large task he is undertaking and I wish him all the best in it.

The funny thing here is that the biggest rage induced anal dribbling spastically threadnaughts on this forum have allmost allways come from those who would call themselves non-carebear.

Very true, but we are not talking forum communications here, we are talking 'in game' communications, and in that respect, the 'non-carebear' can barely hold a torch to the venom spewing rump raging spastic colon real life threat lobbing receiver of the CN antimatter.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I think Globby is being very generous here. I would think that 1000 words would give people license to be creative with their narratives. I wonder if there are bonus points for creativity or if this is a straight JMV transaction. No points for creativity seems a bit cold and unimaginative.

Just copy/paste the alphabet 39 times.

CODE can't read any words longer than 1 letter anyway, so any longer words are just wasted effort; and we all know miners want to minimise effort.

I'm sorry, can you use less complex words please, I can't understand anything you just wrote.
