How can Alliances incentivize explorers for finding/reporting HS WHs?

The Alliance I am in prohibits selling Worm Holes to High Sec.

I am an explorer (who doesn't do sleeper sites) so I do not earn enough ISK to pay for PVP ships like the mission runners, miners, etc.

I will spend hours moving thru Null sec systems, scanning down sigs, jumping into WHs I find, scanning them down, book marking WH pipes, Dscanning and doging badies, and invariably finding sweet WHs to HS.

So I find a Null to HS virgin WH that takes large ships (ie. freighters) ... what now?

The alliance has a policy that you MUST provide HS WH information to everybody ....for FREE.

You ever scan a C5 with 20 cosmic sigs, finding/ignoring gas sites, jumping to WHs, etc. - pain in the butt...and it takes a long time.

Then you bookmark in/out WHs in the pipe, etc.

I provide the info in Alliance chat...everyone gets excited...."yahooo, there is a HS WH in soandso system!"

Obviously they don't want to scan it down themselves, and CCP doesn't have Alliance bookmarks, so I form fleets with folks, let 'em warp to me....I then take them through the pipe so they can save bookmarks, etc.

Soon a dozen ships are landing on the WH, coming and going, selling/buyin in Jita, etc.

I might get a thanks....usually not...

Lately I am like, screw this....I mentioned in alliance chat possibility of incentivizing us explorers to provide HS WH bookmarks and was jumped on..."you may get a tip, but don't try to sell them."

Anyone out there have a good system that I could propose in my alliance forums to hopefully generate discussion and maybe a revision to current "FREE" policy.

Besides HS WHs....you would think that leadership would want to encourage us explorers to find/report strategic Null Sec WHs as well, for PVP content...again...no real process to get that information to leadership and no incentive either....

suggestions/comments?

Quit that alliance and find a better one
Make an Alt and have the alt sell the WHs. Never tell anyone the main.
Sell them anyways, quietly. Get a few buddies who use your service then when you go public, have the buddies tell the aliliance to let you sell.
Edit: Baali's answer is way better. Train Deep Space Transport and sell Warp Scrambler II for 1.9m a peice. When peopel moan say "I learned it from you"

Tell them straight up to go funk themselves and their free policy. effort must be compensated. If you get kicked, their loss.

alternatively, make an alt, sell it via alt. plausaible deniability.

For the record, you sound like you would fit in with a wormhole crew better then with nullbears. I recommend you look into recruitment forums into wormhole corps.

I actually was in 2 WH corps before moving to Null so I am comfortable in them - still scanning down sigs gets old...

I am just curious if this type of policy is standard/common in Null Alliances and hopefully someone out there has a good policy that is win-win for all...

They should reward you for that indeed..if they don't then the leadership probably doesnt care cause they got jump freighters and what not. In that case you should try to sell it to people without informing the higher ups..dunno how exactly.

Or like others said try and manipulate the market with inflated items .

Wish i had an ideea to help you out here..

why would you sell routes to highsec to your alliance mates? most alliances rely on these routes to provide logistics to corps, fair enough selling a combat site escalation as people make money from that but a wormhole?

no its not common ive never heard someone trying to sell a wormhole entrance, these along with data, relic and combat sites get added to the corp bookmarks for other people to use if you dont use them yourself

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

Bingo!

This is the mentality I run into and apparently it is the norm....

whenever i scan for combat sites i just bookmark anything and tell the corp what i found, even combat sites if i cant be bothered running i will just bookmark to give someone else a chance, in null sov its common to sell escalations 10/10 ded sites, but i would never ask for isk for an entrance to highsec, maybe thats because my corp will move stuff around for me free of charge etc so i only see it helping the corp progress

I think the last part in your sentense is the important part: they do other things for you. Seems that the OP just gets a: Do your freaking job and fack off otherwise.

I'd suggest looking at another corp indeed, those exploring chains and routes usually get screwed over unfortunately, and those using the info get a lot of income out of it (moving stuff out to sell etc). Or just say: screw it, and keep your BM's and go mission running with the rest, and when they complain about not having HS connections, tell them to go scan them themselves, that you're busy making isk like them.

Why would you charge your corp mates for finding a WH? If I find a WH to somewhere interesting, I immediately announce it in corp chat so that the people who need to use it can get to it.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

So wait, you are part of an alliance. They provide you with logistics, (relatively) safe space to rat/explore and otherwise make lots more isk then you could on your own and you're complaining that you can't make more money off of them for providing information that will help them with logistics?

Geez talk about not being a team player....
