Am I the only person that seems to be having issues with missiles applying damage?

The odd thing is, it never happens when I'm trying to catch it happening.
It only happens when my attention is drawn elsewhere.

I'll notice a volley leave, hit the target, but nothing happens, and no damage notification comes up.

The only way I've been able to catch it is seeing my volley hit at the last moment, but not seeing any damage applied to the target, despite knowing that the volley should have burned them down to structure. (mind you, this is against NPCs, which is a more controlled environment than PVP.)

So, no one else has noticed this issue?
Watched it happen again last night against a mission turret.
I know for a fact that the volley should have killed it, but instead the missiles hit and did nothing.

It wouldn't happen to be a Golem entering or leaving bastion, would it? That currently and has always bugs missiles if they are in flight while either of those two events occur, causing them to apply no damage and offers no "zero-damage" notification. I've heard that supposedly the Phoenix does the same with siege modules, but I don't own one to know for sure.

I've raised that issue with CCP when bastion modules were first introduced several times to no avail, as CCP is either too lazy to fix it or completely unwilling to. It pretty much boiled down to "We are pretty sure we fixed it in the last patch, please bug report again" in continuous loop, and so after being frustrated with that same response over and over again, I gave up on it. I'd say bug report it, but good luck on that going anywhere.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

Why yes, it is in a Golem.
However, it is not related to entering or leaving bastion.
I haven't noticed if it is related to one cycle ending and another beginning, but it does happen why still cycling regardless.

It's happened to me a couple times in the past, not just that particular issue with the Golem. It's been very rare for me and usually I can never be quite sure I just saw a "miss". If it did happen, I was usually paying attention to something else and almost don't realize it happened, but I'm sure it has a few times without me even knowing. Hasn't happened in a long while, maybe the last time being on a light-missile Orthrus for me when they first came out. Tough to say from my end, but it wouldn't surprise me.

It happens to me on every mission I run, at least once.
I would go as far to say that it's at least once per full ammo cycle of my cruise missiles (27).
It might also be noted that I'm typically using fury cruise, which have a range of 166km out of bastion, and my targeting range is only 118km in bastion.
So it's definitely not a range issue while out of bastion.

That said, I think I noticed it happen on one volley with my light missile jackdaw last time I was out shooting people.
Mind you, I only shot at one target that took us no time as all to burn down.
So we're talking one of 5 volleys didn't apply.

Bug report, I guess. Only thing I can think of at this point.

Judging from the apparent difference in you're bug's frequency and mine, I'm not even as sure that ours are the same issues. Maybe it is and something else is triggering it more or less from person to person; some other missile shenanigans are afoot it seems. It literally has only happened to me two-three times in the last couple of years. Like I said, it could be happening a bit more without me really noticing, but I'm pretty sure it's not that common for me. Very odd.

The only thing else that I can say is that it never happened to me up until about a little over a year ago, shortly before I started using a Golem over a CNR. Then right before Christmas last year, it seemed to happen again with a Torp Phoon I use to structure bash mission structures. The only other time I remember was that light missile Orthrus I spoke of when I was running a Mul Zatah site (fun little 4/10). I think my Golem may have done it too, but I can't recall as well if it has.

I'm not sure when the issue started, as I was on down time with Ev most of last year, and started it back up 3 month ago, maybe.
It seems to have gotten worse over that 3 month period.

I watched it happen again 3-4 times last night.

Can you suggest a good way to video record/edit and share?

OP, I noticed this issue after I bought my first Jackdaw. I was using T2 light missiles. Even though I was clearly in range, my missiles would not hit for several volleys. If I stopped the missile mods, the last volley would then hit. I have also noticed that the missiles will hit initially and stop. The launchers are still using ammo and I was not suffering from any lag.

So far, the Jackdaw has been the only missile boat to do this.

My start date to EVE Online: 6/25/2005 8:24:57 AM UTC

Yeah, it's happened to me in the Jackdaw as well...
It doesn't seem related to anything specific, such as lag.
Crazy thing is, you can watch them fly right up to the target... Though, I don't remember them ever exploding.
