I'm a fan of Jenn's posting too & I respect the way he deftly tiptoes between the PVE side of things & the big picture.
Good attitude too, Plus he liked one of my posts once!

Someone else mentioned Mags, He's another one who manages to make complete sense with every post.

Jenn has always had a knack for stating the obvious... or rather what "should" be the obvious, but often people turn a blind eye to things that don't cater to their own self interest. Smile

It's funny how bluntly stating the truth causes more anger than most outright lies ever will, and it's that little factoid about human nature than I think I enjoy the most.

Jenn and I concur on a lot of things, most of them being related to taking responsibility for the choices you make, and actually making an effort to not be a victim. Winding DMC up is just a bonus.

The thing about Jenn's posts I like the best is that he gets three times as much rage for being a "carebear" who chooses not to get ganked than Kaarous gets for ganking.

I'm really wondering what kind of spectacle you two are imagining. Lol

My petitions are generally very dry and paragraph-happy, and when possible full of boring post links to establish history and trends. The fly in question would probably just go dormant from boredom and drop off the wall…

I think the spectacle is supposed to be the GM's reaction, not the content of the petition.
Even funnier if we assume (unlikely as it may be) the GM in question had a life outside his job and was not already dead inside.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Most of the haters won't admit it, but the fact of the matter is that he's quite simply better at Eve than they are.

It's all a matter of perspective.

It's really hard to be bad at those activities, and from that perspective, Jenn's repeated failures in that area means he's suckier than they are… P

A question, why would Jenn lie about accepting the game for how it is? What would he hope to gain?

The example is him being able to adapt to recent cyno jump changes and how it affects 0.0 supply, he did not come and cry on the forum about it he adapted and trained some industry and built his own ammo and ships.

I'd even go as far as to say he has set a good example for other players to follow.

I do try :)

Making my own ships and ammo is just a way of avoiding the expense of buying another jump freighter (that i'd end up whelping like the 1st one, yep I auto piloted to Jita while drunk and sleepy 3 years ago, haven't bought another JF since ). I also have a Panther that I only use for moving loot from null to empire. Because this game really is like real life: you can complain, our you can act.

Apparently, telling supposedly grown people to take some responsibility for their enjoyment in a video game rather than whining, begging and trying to manipulate CCP in some way marks one as a HUGE troll. But only on the internet Cool

Well apparently it is wrong for suggesting that people adapt to new changes and change their play style to suit their environment. Lots of Eve players want the environment to suit them. Eve is very much a reflection on real life, the way this game has changed makes people work even harder...furthermore it makes people work smarter to get what they want.

Ya know, I'm gonna apply the attitude of people who whine about Eve to my real life and I will go into work on monday and give my bosses a list of changes that will suit me. First I will ask for a 100% pay rise and less working hours.

Oh, God yes. Being in their same technical category but not towing their line of BS seems to completely incense these people.
