Super Wormhole

We know that New Eden was discovered by humans from Earth via a wormhole that collapsed suddenly and without a reason a why. We also know that W-Space where the Sleepers reside is only accessible by scanning down anomalies in space with probes.

Both the Eve Gate and W-Space have one thing in common. Only a certain amount of mass can pass through the wormhole before it collapses. This would mean that the Eve Gate was a Super Wormhole seeing as how many trillions of tons of mass passed through it before it collapsed.

I would have to think that the Sleepers were here long before humanity found the Eve Gate. After all Sleepers were not discovered until after New Eden had been colonized. I would also have to think that the Super Wormhole was created by the Sleepers to draw humanity into New Eden.

But why? Their creators had been long dead. The only reason is that I can think of are the Jove that because of the virus they have that causes madness and death their race was dying and needed new a fresh supply of bodies to replace their dying race. But why could they just transfer their consciousness into clones created by Capsuleers minus the virus DNA that would allow them to be free of the virus?

There must be something more to Sleeper Space than we think there is.

The question is though just like the wormholes into Sleeper Space fluctuate so too would a Super Wormhole fluctuate as well possibly drawing energy from the other wormholes or something at the center of Sleeper Space. If based on the wormhole fluctuations of Sleeper Space another Super Wormhole should emerge somewhere in New Eden.

Where that Super Wormhole will lead New Eden is impossible to determine. More importantly though what would possibly come through such a Super Wormhole should be more of a concern.

Sleepers are offshoot of the Jove, there are no aliens in EVE. Well, no sapient aliens, there are some alien animals.

The New Eden wormhole was a natural phenomena, but humans built two massive stargates on the ends of it, our side of the gate known as EVE. (and an unconfirmed dev post saying that the milky way gate was called ADAM) The gates stabilized the wormhole for the aforementioned amounts of equipment to pass through it without degration. No one alive knows why the gate imploded, however sabotage is a strong candidate.

However yes you have a point on that the wormhole network seems far more organized than it should be, and that it is somehow intelligently controlled, or at least built in such a way that certain systems links could be ensured to happen (known as the static wormholes.)

I'd imagine you're looking at the results of intensive study and reverse engineering of Talocan technology there (they were masters of Spatial Manipulation and Hypereuclidean Mathematics afterall)...

I also wouldn't disclude the possibility of another Super Wormhole opening somewhere in New Eden...
