And there is also, of course "The Likes and Get Likes", maybe the most active out of all the OoPE channels, everyone is welcome- even if you are not a regular in the LAGL thread. As far as I know, it's an open channel now, otherwise please contact Mizhir or Alice Saki for an invite.

Hmm I think it's still invite only, least it was a month or two ago.

Not sure the last time I've seen either Miz or Alice active there. Though anyone you see posting actively in LAGL thread tends to hang out there, poke anyone of us for an invite. Smile

Not sure if it is still invite-only, but it used to be.
Not unlike Goonswarm, actually, in that you want to recruit from a (mostly) out-of-game community.

Well I just popped in to say hello then closed just it in case anyone was cringing. Get some feedback first, people are prickly etc, no need to intrude or be a nuisance. I wouldn't mind being in a channel with Ralph tho.

LAGL used to be the (not-so-)secret troll headquarters of GD before the thread got moved to OoPE.
It was where the usual GD suspects hung out to chat and socialize when no other thread was available for disassembly.
So, in a way, being a GD poster gives you every right to consider yourself a part of LAGL, no matter if you post in the actual thread or not.

IIRC I joined there without anyone inviting me.

I had to get Gray to drag me in when I first joined.

Since then I've had to drag all my alts in too. Most recent was maybe a couple months ago.

Personally I've always looked at the lagl thread itself as basically the only thread in the whole forums without a topic where you can spam or chat about anything at all in comfort, the actual likes end up being secondary. I guess the ingame chan is the same vibe. Mostly it's just lagl 'regulars' that idle in there so far prolly because not many beyond know it's even there.
