Memorial service for Hilen Tukoss on the 26th, 18:00 hours

Greetings,

I will be organising a memorial service for Hilen Tukoss to honor and remember him and others who have lost their life while striving for increased scientific knowledge and understanding of the Universe and its content.


IMPORTANT:
This will be a memorial service, not a political rally!


Memorial service details:
Location: Eram system, Site one: Antiquus
Time: 18:00 EvE standard time
Duration: -pending due to unknown amount of speakers but aiming for max 2 hours-


Content of the service:
Start with a line-formation and make a single orbit of both outpost class structures in Site one: Antiquus. During this single orbit, there will be a 2 minute silence. After this silence, there is room for those who wish to speak and have been scheduled in to speak.

If you are interesting on speaking during the service, please contact me and I will see if I can schedule you in. This will depend on the content of your speech as this will be a memorial service and not a political rally.


Security:
Though it is not expected, there is a possibility that this service will attract Drifter attention. For those who wish to attend, please keep this in mind with regard to the ship you pilot.
I have prepared multiple ships for remotely supporting those who attend. I am looking for capsuleers to pilot for the duration of the service.

There will be a single fleet organisation for this service. Standard capsuleer voice communication will be used, unless someone is willing to make their own voice supporting communication channels available during the service.


Additional information will be provided as the service draws near.

An orbit of 4000 meters avoids contact with the surrounding structures and is quite stately.

Preparations for the memorial service have started and I have been contacted by several people who wishes to speak during the event. There have also been pilots who are willing to grant access to direct voice communication channels.

As the 26th is slowly drawing closer, additional information will be released as it becomes available.

I would be there, had my schedule not limited me; if I am able to attend, I won't arrive until around 22:00. It is unfortunate, but I suppose we can't be everywhere at once. I still, however, wish to express my respect for Dr. Tukoss. Should any scheduling changes occur, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Unfortunately I cannot attend the memorial service due to other duties. But I would like to express my great respect for Mr. Tukoss personally as well as on behalf of my corporation. His unselfish sacrifice for the greater cause of the peoples of New Eden is appreciated and will be unforgotten.

It is unfortunate that not all who would like to attend are able to do so. We all have our tasks and responsibilities and sometimes they conflict with another and priorities need to be assigned and followed.

I shall release additional details regarding the Service tomorrow and I will be available on the 26th at least a couple of hours before the Memorial starts should there be any questions of people wishing to attend and hold a speech.

-Update on the content of the Memorial Service-

I will open the service at 18:00 hours EvE standard time within Site One: Antiquus, in the Eram system. During this start there will be time for additional briefing of the people who will attend. After the service has began we will move within line-formation and make a single orbit of both outpost class structures in Site one: Antiquus. At the start of this formation, there will be a 2 minute silence for Hilen Tukoss and others who have lost their life to improve the scientific knowledge of our universe.
After the 2 minute of silence, speeches will be held. The following people have expressed their desire to speak besides myself:

Lucas Raholan
Uriel Paradisi Anteovnuecci
Frenjo Borkstar
Jaret Victorian

The speakers are not yet confirmed our final as there is still room for additional speakers.

When all speeches have been done, I will hold a closing speech and end the service.

Direct voice communications will be available and there will be a single open fleet for those who wish to attend. I will be available and in the Eram system at least a couple of hours before the service.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Eram a high sec Minmatar system in which those loyal to the State or the Empire may find themselves fired upon by local security forces?

If there was truly no political motive at work, would it not have made sense to hold this in neutral territory?

Eram is also the place where Site One, the headquarters of Arek'Jalaan - a project Dr. Tukoss dedicated the last few years of his life to - is located.

If you're so concerned about not being able to attend, fix your standings with the Republic. There's a nice lady in Arnon who can set you on the right path for that.

As this requires those interested to travel through all Empire Faction's systems, that most likely won't help to solve standing related issues.

I'd rather recommend to send someone willing to attend on behalf of those who can't securely be present in Minmatar Republic sovereign space, should establishing contact with data centers be impossible as well.

Final preparations have begun. The service will start in 1,5 hours. There is still room for people who wish to attend and/or speak during the service.
