OP, seriously, pull your head out of CCP's arse for a second and look around.
They have put Faction Warefare plex's in Nullsec Sov.
They have added a bloody Magic Sov Wand, wave it and the station becomes yours.
Space aids, i mean, getting tired from pushing a button? seriously, why not just a simple cooldown timer? its not like your getting out of your pod to run the distance, is it?
Cruisers online, enough said.
CCP have created an amazing game, however i do think that they have to be careful of their hubris.

cruisers online sound sliek an improvement to me, as its no longer capitals online. so working as intended?

OMG Comet Mining idea!!! Comet Mining!

Capital blobs can still control grids.
Consider three Titans with T2 magic wands:
- First one warms up, cycles and cycles down.
- Second one waits, warms up, cycles and cycles down.
- Third one waits, waits, warms up, cycles and cycles down.
Rinse and repeat.

Rather tough to kill a Titan in such a short time.

CCP - Building ant hills and magnifying glasses for fat kids

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

True enough, but how many alliances
a) Have three titans theyre willing to risk dicking around with sov when they could do it in dreads, carriers or subcaps and risk a fraction of the cost for roughly the same effect.
b) Can defend said titans against every cap killing group that will drop on them while theyre busy dicking around with sov
c) dont have any other commitments or assets to defend while they **** around with sov in three titans and enough of a defence fleet to protect them

Not saying its impossible, this is eve after all and people do crazy **** all the time, just very unlikely in my mind.

It can scale down according to the fleets and their opposition.

I'm only optimistic about EVE when they introduced the new upcoming structures, but I swear to God if they screwed it up I'm pulling the plug from this game. EVE really needs the new structures so bad, basically it adds **** ton of sand to the box, unlike adding ships.

Lady Areola Fappington:  Solo PVP isn't dead!  You just need to make sure you have your booster, remote rep, cyno, and emergency Falcon alts logged in and ready before you do any solo PVPing.

It is good to see an optimistic post.

I am hopeful for Eve because most of the developers are on holiday right now, so we can have some time for the game to play out without waiting for the next big change. This past year has been a mess with one change after another being announced and then Eve going into stasis as we wait for it to be implemented. It's just a shame that I am deployed and unable to try it out.

At the same time, somewhere down the road we are going to get all those awesome new structures. That should really help out the game. It should be a significant improvement, but not one which prohibits other content while we wait for it.

The biggest improvement Eve needs in the long run is to make it so that "content denial" is never the best strategy. Persistent reinforcement, form-up, and blue-balling took most of the joy out of large coalition conflict and burned out a lot of players. I hope the same thing does not become the best strategy in Fozziesov, but sadly that appears to be the case based on anecdotal reports. I look forward to trying it out for myself in a couple of months.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.
