Any HS combat besides Lvl 4 for Dual Box

I've been bouncing back and forth among the Factions to keep the standing reasonable, but it's getting old.
I rarely play because of it.

Is there any High Sec combat options that don't deal with the standings drama for a dual box Gila pair?

thanks

Or don't shoot at other factions and you get no standings drama anyway.

other players.
War, suspect baiting, etc.
Payoff is a bit iffy, but the dividends in fun can be massive.

You could try exploration instead of missions. I find them to be much more enjoyable.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

I agree, can also do the Epic Arcs every 3 months to continue boosting Faction standings as well as help break up the monotony of constantly doing the same ole thing..

Don't dual box.
Dual box Assault frigates or dessies.
Hell be really nuts and run lvl 4's in a single assault frigate.

But the bottom line is that lvl 4'e are the pinnacle of difficulty for high sec PvE, unless you want to try Incursions.

it sounds nuts until you try it, then quickly realize, outside of webbers, the ships pose no threat to you. then you realize just how long it takes to chew through NPC battleships with a frigate and never do it again.

longer answer: get out of high sec

Sisters of EVE are liked by pretty much everyone apart from Amarr. You can run a few missions fro Amarr once in a while, then continue running sisters for a long time.

First rule of EVE UI: right click EVERYTHING.

True, but the first few can add a certain pucker factor that changes things up rather nicely, and then like all PvE content in the entire game it gets boring very quickly.

So in the end we still have the same problem, no PvE content is ever going to be exciting for more than the first few times you run through it and then it becomes dull and boring because it never changes. This is part of the reason I am not able to understand all the calls for wasting dev time to overhaul the PvE content of the game. It would spice things up for about a month or so and then we would all be back here complaining about how boring and repetitive it was.

What you wrote makes no sense. Of course you want new PVE content, as many players including myself just don't play PVP oriented game play at all. Just not my thing. Not upgrading PVE is like "not" adding to the game, the PVP is player created. Might as well just remove it all then and just have a free for all bang bang for a few weeks before they shut the servers down..

They should just Add more difficult content to HS for small group play, similar to incursions but for two or three ships. Not the junk low level incursions either...

That was the point of the thread to see if I was missing something regarding content in HS.

Friend it's easy to just throw comments like a troll, but you didn't read the thread before posting.

I was speaking of High Security space, which has Level 4 missions as the top tier for a solo player.
I've done exploration and every anom or combat site I've found is either similar or less than a level 4 mission.
One out of perhaps 40 sites actually has a better than payout over the length of the mission chain.
Anything else is in Low, WH or Null sec space, which is PVP.

Best wishes... I've got no reason to play this game ... time to delete the toons

can i haz your stuff?

no missions in nullsec are not pvp, the difficulty with null pve is interference from people wanting pvp, you can avoid these easy with common sense and being at the keyboard. its the top tier because the higher tiers are in lower security space to provide extra risk and to spread people out across the map by wanting to go and do more difficult things. risk vs reward and all that.

doesnt make sense, you want harder missions but dont want to travel for it, would you whine on the forums if they gave you harder content and you lost your ships? because that is the only risk you have in any other space.

if you are quiting the game because you're not getting your own way then doesnt matter what ccp do you will be back here in a few months whining when harder pve gets maxed and you get bored.

i read the op...

Really, why even comment if you spout junk? Of course all WH, Low and Null space are PVP no matter what you're there for. Shooting rocks, ships or puffing gas, same invite.

CCP feels mistakenly that putting difficult or interesting PVE content in PVP zones adds the risk factor to balance the reward. That just favors the PVP play style, that's all. Sure, a PVE player can go in Null and play the exploit/hiding game, if that's your thing. It's not mine, so there is no game for me after level 4. CCP doesn't care, as they just remove reasons for PVE players to play this game. They feel their PVP/PVA crowd of vets is enough to sustain them. I would like to sub, but can't find any reasons to.

It's really difficult for PVP players to understand what a play style is, and it has ZERO to do with risk or being lazy.
It's all about the mood of why someone would play a game. I just don't like the motives, attitudes and general PVP community spirit. To me, it's not an enjoyable experience to try and chat with those who have just caught you in a Gate camp and all you get is STFU and die (or I type GF and they type "not really") - in local or an equivalent. It's not just this game, it's every game I've played with PVP conflict as the primary game mechanic - just bad form for the most part. I would never invite someone like that in my home for a board game, so I choose not to play a game that invites them in my experience electronically if at all possible. I know not all players are this way, but 70% are from my play time and that's far too many. It's just not fun playing games with bad attitudes, so solo play is all there is for these online drama series.

No big deal, it's a constant battle trying to find a decent game that doesn't have ORC's or Elves and that has a good long term playability.

Very much this, until you minimise local and dont read it again. problem solved. I treat all other players as npc now, read too much garbage in local making me wonder about my fellow beings.

As if shooting 3 times more battleships is that much more interesting...

Oh wait, OP has biomassed. Coincidence, or just forum alt? P

That's actually a good way to think of all this as of being a part of more interesting PvE content :)
