Hi all,

I have assembled and aggregated PVP statistics for the 204 most killing alliances and provided rankings for the most fun and best PVP alliances in EVE for the first six months of 2015. Of course what constitutes the most fun and best will remain debatable. :)

The report is available for download under: https://www.scribd.com/doc/272345350/EVE-Online-PVP-Ranking

Edit: If you don't want to install the app, don't click the link but copy the link in your browser and download the document.

Edit: I hear people still hate scribd. Straight download at: http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=06219486363556449029 [please work]

Enjoy,

Would help if you'd explain how you got the points for the last few tables.

Suggestion: Divide all the total kills/losses and isk values by the average number of members in each alliance over the period.

If 10 000+ members are only getting 95000 kills and 1.34t, that's only 9 kills and 100 million (edit:fixed my math) per player over half a year - not that great a sign of pvp imho...

but what would I know, I'm just a salvager

A bit in a double split here.On one side i think you can not make a ''fun'' ranking at all.But on the other side looking at those that hit your highest spots on that list in regards to fun they would be the alliances i would join ''for fun'' as i have good experiences with most of them on the ''battlefield'' as people who seemed to be sports and play for fun.

Really surprised me there to be honest ...

This is a great idea, but a little bit more complicated as I would have to tap a different data source (probably Dotlan). The number of members on zkillboard is current. Dividing past kills by current members would be problematic for the obvious reason that the number of current members could be very different from the number of past members that achieved the kills. To get that statistic really right, I would need to divide the kills per month by the average members per month and then take the average over the months.

As far as I can tell, Dotlan only provides this information in graphical form, and there is no mention of the data source, so they may be running their own database.

According to killboard information, your alliance was inactive during H1 2015 and hence was not ranked.

Yeah, I kinda wish the killboards actually did this for us - divided up the isk value of each kill amongst all the people whoring on the mails - perhaps by percentage of damage done.

but what would I know, I'm just a salvager

Yeah, kills and losses per member was my first thought.

Edit: but good job anyway and thanks.
