The one thing the Prospect is missing

It appears to me that the prospect is the only mining vessel that doesn't have a drone bay. I know it has cloaking and a small sig and all that, but you can't mine when you're cloaked, and you can't mine while being attacked by an ECM rat.

Am I supposed to cut mining in speed in half to install a single blaster?

So, why doesn't the prospect have a drone bay of, say, 15-25m3?

Bring a mobile depot and refit if you need to shoot rats.

Tiericide.

With the drone bay, there would be precisely two reasons to choose a Venture over a Prospect: cost and (lack of) skills. The Venture would have to gain something the Prospect doesn't have or it would end up being pointless.

The prospect is just fine as it is.
It is unlike any other ship in the game in so many ways.
Lets just keep it that way.

The only thing it misses is a ice miner specific to it, to mine ice in frigate wormholes :P

On topic, I can mine in wormholes alone, be it ore or gas, don't need drones for that.

There's always the compromise position of giving it a tiny drone bay, similar to the Helios.

Can't say the last time I saw a Prospect, and I see a ton of Ventures.

Prospect is the fastest ship while cloaked, at least 40% base faster than anything else (can fit for 650ms cloaked)
Prospect is the only covert-cloaked ship with an ore bay.

Can be over-propped with 10mn AB.

Evasion tank is best tank. This is a ninja mining ship -- with or without mining lasersBlink

Please don't change the ship, it is unique and works incredibly well for specific roles.
Increasing the sig radius will kill it. Carry a mobile depot and put guns on it if you need to clear rats.
