I'm not really sure what to do.

So I've finished the tutorial and ran some of the Sisters of EVE missions but I feel kinda lost and without direction. My skills are a bit all over the place, with a slightly higher focus in exploration and navigation for some reason, and I'm not really sure where to go. So what do I do?

I was thinking something with heavy exploration and some type of research with the loot. Or just driving a really fast ship, so racing/tackler I guess. Any tips?

Pretty much all questions of this ilk come down to "join up with people". No seriously, EVE is not a good solo game. Find a good corp...emphasis on the "good".

That said, exploration and tackling both require combat skills, and research involves industry. You shouldn't immediately try to do both, unless you are content with being very subpar with both. Ship-wise, assault frigates are capable of handling all hisec exploration sites, as well as lowsec radar/mag sites. They're reasonably fast and frigate-class (e.g. small).

For PVP, look at interceptors. They are really absurdly fast (3-4+ km/s), and extremely useful as tackle. Being fast is pretty much what they do. They're not even that expensive for t2 ships either...though as an immediate PvP newbie you should probably stick to t1 frigs.

1. Find a corp. As someone else said - seriously. Team up with people. People that share the same interest and time zone as you.

2. What corp to join? Your description -as short as it is - suggest a wormhole corp that does industry as well as other stuff. If you are new, go for the onte reqruiting and live in lower end wormholes (< C3). Those would have access to the known space as well, so you can pop out when you get fed up with the wormholes.

i felt the same way m8, finished tut's and sat and thought what the hell do i do now, am just begining to get a bit of direction now and make some isk, and above all am now enjoying the game.
salvaging/mining/ and exploration are the least brain taxing things to do in my opinion, finding a good noob friendly corp that play in your time zone is a must.

Check the Alliance/Corp recruitment subforum and start making some contacts with those who sound interesting.

How about trying the primary function of cannon fodder for the RMT Plantations in Zero. If your good at it, in a few years, you might graduate to Garbage Collector.

The standard reply to your question is really find a corp or a group that you can play with. In your situation i would look for an all around corp that does a little bit of everything. Have you also considered Eve uni?

A while back i wrote this "guide" on how to find a corp, and hopefully it can be of some help for you even if you dont know exactly what your goals are right now.

That's a really nice poster, I posted it up as text on my blog: http://evenewbadventures.weebly.com/things-to-do-in-eve.html little easier to read for mobile users and whatever.

Anyways, yeah I would go for training up anything that will make your more cash while on a mission and then branch out from there. Salvaging a lot of materials? Start looking up how to turn those into rigs.
