Hello everyone,

i've been thinking about doing low/nullsec Unrated Complexes for quite a while now and that's why i decided to write this thread because i don't really know which Ship can do that Job.
My ultimate goal is being able to run 10/10 DED's and i've read that a Tengu can do that Job quite well, but right now i'm looking for a ship + fit with that i can possibly get started in like 1 to 1 1/2 months. With that i just want to be able to run low/nullsec Unrated Complexes and if it's possible i'd also like to run everything up to 5/10 DED's.
I'd be really thankful for some suggestions.

For a month old character I'm not sure low/null sec combat sites is where you should start. It will likely take you a while to gather the isk for a ship to handle these sites; additional isk will be required for faction mods to make up for the lack of skill points(SP).

High sec is where you should start. Just to get used to probing, general combat, and researching the sites you're running. I'm not sure what ship is best for a low SP character but I hear the Algos was a nice option but you'll have to do more research or post the kind of ships you fly to give you better advice.

Don't assume that there isn't good isk to be made with high sec combat sites. I've got roughly 22m SP and still farm them regularly. It has funded plenty of null sec capable ships.

Once you can comfortably fly and afford something like a Tengu then I would look to null.

Ignore the above. You can do almost all null and low sec sites in a Gila. You can earn a lot of money really easily. You can also do a lot of the lower level wormhole sites which you can use to earn ludicrous amounts of isk.

Here is a basic fit to start out. Obviously you need to switch the two resists based on the rats you are fighting. If you're fighting sleepers you should trade out one of the resists for another shield extender and put in an EM ward II.

What makes this fit great is that if you have a mobile depot in your cargo you can deploy it and change your low slots for Drone Damage Amplifiers. This will increase your dps when there are less rats on the field.

Also as a side note Saving up for a tengu and taking it to null before understanding how null sec works and how to travel it safely as well as where to run sites in it safely would be completely idiotic.

That's actually incorrect. Do assume that there isn't good isk to be made with high sec combat sites. You want to make money with higher bounty ticks, more loot drops (And better), and more BS sized rats to salvage go to the higher sites in Low/Null. High sec is trash money.

That's why i was looking for something else to get started, but thanks for the suggested fit, i'll definetly consider flying a Gila with that fit.

You've obviously not farmed highsec combat sites frequently; as they often lead to rather lucrative escalations which drop A-type frigate deadspace gear and BPCs. What the first poster said about highsec is accurate. By the way, that Gila fit will probably only run lowsec sites effectively (time-efficiently).

In the long run, a Tengu or Kronos is a great choice for running 10/10 sites in Guristas or Serpentis space.

The Gila is a good ship for using in the meantime. The fit posted above does not have enough damage mods for my taste. It is way overtanked. As that poster says, you can add more damage mods to it. I also would not want to use it in 0.0 without a scout.

The advantage of a Tengu in 0.0 space is that you can carry a couple of extra subsystems and a mobile depot. Use the cloaky nullified subsystems to get around, then switch to a better combat one to run the sites.

CCP should add more NPC 0.0 space to open it up and liven things up: the Stepping Stones project.

^^this.

The issue is navigating into and around null with minimal experience. Before joining a corp and have a null home if a site took me more than 30-40 minutes to complete I would almost never complete it as the locals would come and kick me out( try probing me down). Heaven forbid I run into a gate camp...

As for that Gila fit you would most likely never die but also never kill anything. With 3 T2 DDAs and T2 Vespas I'm at 489 DPS which isn't going to finish the sites very quickly....356DPS with T1 mods.

Stay in high sec if you want to be efficient. Feel free to convo me in game if you want to chat.
