Hi, I've been playing eve on and off for a couple years. and have had multiple different careers and even gone down different races skills for ships and things like that. I've tried missiles, and hybrid turrets and seem to like those the best. At the moment I'm running a Brutix with 250 mm guns and an armor tanking. I am running lvl 2 and 3 security missions in it and seem to do alright at least for some of the lvl 3's I'm not sure though what kind of skills i need to be leveling up to get me able to go fly through lvl 3's without issue in my brutix. Do i need to upgrade my ship?? just my Skills?? or possible both?? I would also like to get into lvl 4 missions at some point soon and would like to be able to run those solo as well.

Tanking skills, Hybrid skills & Drone skills

Aim to eventually be able to fit
A Tech 2 armour tank, Tech 2 Hybrids and use Tech 2 Small/Medium scout drones

Throw in the standard CPU, PG, Capacitor and Navigation skills and you have a small training plan that will keep you going for a couple of months.

For level 4 missions a battleship is a good starting point .. the Dominix is probably the most low-skilled pilot friendly BS in the game

if you decide to the use megathron for missioning, your gunnery support skills will be more important
specifically Motion Prediction which you might want to train to L5 before most other gunnery skills.

If you are flying a Brutix and enjoy it - the Megathron or Megathron Navy is probably your choice for Level 4 missions. Megathron is a gunboat with enough drone capacity to deal with pesky frigates.

I recommend the skills for level III mastery to run level 4 missions safely. The rule of thumb is gank + tank = 1000 to fly them comfortably.

Also train social skills Negotiation and Security connections for improved rewards.

OK thanks for the reply. The Dominix looked like a good idea but i never looked at the megathron so i will look into that

Dominix is an excellent ship but it is bonused for drones, not turrets. Most people will fit MJD and use sentry drones as their primary weapon system
