Hunting Seekers for Antikythera - Drifter Standings?

In an effort to build Entosis Links, I have been hunting seekers. While I can respect that CCP might not want to give away all the mechanics of the seekers and the drifters I have some simple questions that hopefully someone can answer with some certainty.

Is the drifter corporation standing toward my corp, (currently -2.28) I noticed that the drifters standing toward me personally is 0 - neutral. Just curious if we could get some insight into what this faction is impacted by, and what impact it has.

Will killing seekers will cause my corp members to be aggro'd by drifters?

Is drifter standing something that is default? Is it lowered by killing seekers?

Clearly hunting seekers is an intended method for building entosis links, it would just be nice to know what, if any, impact this has on things.

Thanks!

You tell us. The PvE content is in the game to be figured out by the players, not spoon fed by CCP.

More importantly, The Drifter threat seems constantly evolving. Who knows what they will do in the future.

If you don't like the uncertainty, stick to PvE content that had already been min/maxed by players that have gone before you.

That doesn't make sense. He's simply asking for other players to share knowledge. Nothing in his post suggests he's uncomfortable with uncertainty or that his hunting of seekers has slowed down.

I too am curious.

I've been shooting them up on one character, doesnt appear to effect the other members of the corp.
The char i use though, whenever i sit it in a belt, the drifters turn up, I dont stick around in barges to find out if they will agress .

Will have to investigate the standings more tonight i think.

I have been poking seekers / drifters lately:

-shooting seekers doesn't seem to impact standings (personal/corp)
-drifters spawn very randomly, no more unstable Wormholes, they spawn whenever another seeker wave would spawn
-drifters now have a powerful 5 point disruptor and also neut

Looking for a group to pew with ? Have a chat with me.

If you read that post, he is asking someone, like CCP, to give him an answers "with some certainty" on how Drifters work.

No one can do this. If the OP wants to compare notes and discuss theories about how they work, then go for it.

If he wants "certainty" on how the source of the resources he is farming is going to react, then he should consider a different in-game profession. Drifters are suppose to be mysterious, like the wormholes they are from, and are going to evolve in the future as their story unfolds. No certainty here.

I've never noticed Drifter standings drop from killing Circadian Seekers.
It is -12.0% for killing Drifter Battleships, but I'm not so sure if that includes Seekers for the more recent releases (2 months).

Personal negative standings to Drifters will cause auto-aggression by Drifter Battleships within 60 seconds.
That's the only impact I have personally recorded.

I'm not so sure about Corporation standings and what effects it has to members.

Though, do note that in fighting Seekers, Drifters can spawn as reinforcements.

Sorry I couldn't have posted and answered your question at an earlier hour.

I last tested everything Mosaic, or whatever it was properly called.
I'll be testing it again (probably) when I can next log in to SiSi.

So in simple terms: unless something changed drastically, no, Seekers don't give negative standings to Drifters.
Seekers aren't part of a 'faction,' anyway, so it wouldn't make sense lore-wise.

Edit: Oh yeah, I'm answering this "with some certainty."

impatient carebears, inb4 drifter lp store where impatient carebears cant get any dank mods because they got terrible standing by shooting them :)

Domination Nephilim - Angel Cartel

Calm down miner. As you pointed out, people think they can get away with stuff they would not in rl... Like for example illegal mining... - Ima Wreckyou*

The only aspect of certainty I was asking for was about the literal faction standing. Does it go down for my corp, if I hunt seekers? I just don't want my corp mates to suddenly be aggressed by drifters for something I did, without knowing its impact.

I respect and enjoy the unknown as far as mechanics go, and I am happy to learn myself what the new AI is all about.

Are all player corps set to -2.26 with the drifters then?

I'm happy with the challenge and the reward, my question was about the faction.
