Fireworks in umokka.....what fireworks?

I was actually looking forward to an event. even promoted and spread the word. Only to be there and when the population reached about 1200, everything lagged to the point where u couldn't even warp out, and when that miricle did finally happen, u found urself at the only gate in the system, again waiting to get the hell out ;) If there are really 26,000++ players, I can only imagine if we were all in the same system at the same time, time dialation or not....I can only imagine what that would bring.

And so much for offering the chance to win anything......couldn't fly, let alone win anything. Is this a sample of what the rest of the new year will bring to EvE?

I say we make our own event, and get EVERY player in the same system at the same time, and then watch on the evening news a mushroom cloud rising in the uk ;p

I went to see the fireworks, local was at 1750 and I landed at the station seconds after 00:00:00. Not sure if I missed the display or perhaps there wasn't one at all, but there was certainly a lot of smartbombing going on.

Did anyone actually see a fireworks display?

There wasn't any, I was there 2hrs before til 10 min after(the 10min after wasn't by choice ;P)
Maybe ccp couldn't undock and start the fireworks ;p

I was disappointed. It took me a 30 seconds to jump into Umokka, 2 minutes and 30 seconds to warp to Umokka X - Moon 4 - Caldari Navy Testing Facilities and 10 seconds to crash. Being an idiot I tried to a second time. 5 minutes to log in and 20 seconds to crash. Fantastic fireworks but with CCP, what do you expect?

Out of curiosity, how did the prizes and raffle work? Did you have to be listening to NER as I tried but my connection was rejected or something. Only reason I went out there. Roll

It wasn't a CCP event, the event was arranged by DJ Daggaroth a NER DJ.
The server was soon filled up but a secondary one was linked in both local and NER's public channel as well as on their website here.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the event but I was around just before hand with the system reaching 1400 people. Good job NER team!

That was probably the only best things about it....The rest of us actually providing an event....thumbs up to the suicide bombers and those that got concorded o7

I guess the 'prizes' were us, and the raffle was the chance of our GPU's not catching fire ;p lol
