I wonder would all these but hurt little alliances/corps that are so for stations being destructible would be for being able to incape services on NPC stations. These cowards most times dock up in npc null perfectly safe and then cry about sov holding alliances that can and do loose stations.
If ccp were to make stations destructible the tears would be amazing.Goons would spread misery and pain throughout EVE on a massive scale. The campaign would be glorious and once again mittens would have my axe!

Not a null player (I visit, but don't live there), but it woudl seem reasonable that if player outposts were destructible... then all NPC stations would be too.

Would be awesome to try to pop Jita 4,4.

Consider this if every 0.0 system in non-npc 0.0 is filled with outposts, there will be no need to build more outposts ever again [unless CCP allows multiple outposts in a system] so that means no one will ever buy outpost blueprints again. You may as well remove anything involving the construction of outposts from the game since all of them are currently indestructable.

What about the lawless empty expanses of 0.0? No more will they be in the non npc 0.0 regions as almost every system will be filled with an outpost which will most likely be derelict. The emptiness and space of 0.0 will be no-more.

There are ~2500 Nullsec systems that can hold an outpost (pulling the number off the top of my head) and an outpost goes up maybe once a month. I suspect we'll get new space or new outpost mechanics well before that space is full. An outpost is a ridiculous PITA to put up (as it should be).

Some great posts here about this issue, i have updated the Op post.
And all this will be a great isk sink! And the miners will profit!

Well, I was wrong on the Outpost construction rate.

Virtually none of the Isk required to put up an outpost is sent to NPCs, thus Outposts are not in any way an Isk sink, they just transfer isk around.

I don't see any problem with this idea. It would be good ISK sink.

If outposts were destructible then small independant alliances like the one I am part of would have a chance to do some actual damage to big powerblocs. Several times we've managed to temporarily gain control of an outpost, but against massed bloc fleets "temporary" is the best we can do. As it is, all we can currently do is inconvenience them. Being able to actually destroy those outposts would at least give us the opportunity to inflict some lasting harm.

So you think the small guys could blow up potentially billions of ISK worth of goods in a station, and you little people could build outposts and restock them... without the 'power bloc' coming back and rapesaucing your station? Riiiight. Roll

No, that's not what I think. That's some stuff you imagined and then decided to make me repsonsible for your imagination.

This, coupled with something preventing a group holding sov in 200+ systems and actually only using 5

95% of the players are loving EVE, the other 5%? On the forums.

There is something to prevent that. Your invasion force.

If I can successfully defend my space, I see no reason why I should not be able to do with it as I see fit.

If it's worth taking and I can't defend it, then someone'll be around to take it from me eventually. If you want that to happen sooner, you take it from me.
