That is the crux of the matter.

The game is won, the space is not needed and griefing / trolling / poking the smaller groups for a bit of amusement is all that is left.
So, why do it in the most under handed way?
The only answer I see is that it is about reputation and ego. They have to use everything they can to keep their batting average as high as possible rather than actually have fun.

It is a twisted mess with no solutions on the horizon.

This is so spot on its funny, wll put.

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

As somebody already mentioned that the way that RnK took apart and explained the hows and whys of what they were doing was very evident after I viewed the videos again and again. Lord Malador has that voice that is very authorative and yet in a way like a professor explaining to the class (us viewers and fans) as I said the hows and whys of what they did.

I can vouch for him and RnK as being some very very bright scholars of the arts of warfare in Eveonline.PiratePiratePiratePiratePirate

@Eldwinn

You actually surprise me. This thread was a justified celebration of the videos RnK's have provided. As a player in Eve we can all hate or love a specific entity but undoubtedly RnK have provided some real entertainment that 'most' of us have enjoyed.

Their dissection and analysis of some of their fights have been both insightful and entertaining and to negate in whole or part shows perhaps your lack of understanding of the Eve community.

@LM

From one Englishman to another, pay little attention to the ramblings of jealousy and focus on another entertaining video for us to enjoy.

Hope to see you soon

RnK in general are awesome and put out some very well done videos.

PL on the other hand are bland as they come.
Buhhdust Princess
Mind Games.
Suddenly Spaceships.

I don't think RnK have to hype their videos at all; they are that well made and interesting to watch. If there is any hype going on it's from their audience.

This perfectly sums up Eve online today

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

Cry more. Unblue your buddies, get fights next door. Oh.. wait. No that wont happen, that means assets would be at risk and a REAL fight might happen, not a pre-meditated fight to appease your nullbear peasants. Just mad since you cant hot drop everything in the universe.

Are you angry/butthurt that no one is catering to your whine thread in F&I? Is that why you keep shiptoasting in most threads today?

Talking of dying alliances, how is NC. these days?

Losing active members. (Remember that most alliances have a thick layer of inactive members propping the totals up). Their Provi campaign did not revitalise them.

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

being a jabber ping only alliance does that. I really hope they revitalise and become like what PL used to be. But 1000 supers are not needed anymore so be interesting

On the subject of RnK they are specialists, that come out in the open when they have a new experiment to test. If you look on KBs they have never been a day to day active alliance, some cases they are very quiet. Pipe Bombing can be used all the time with element of surprise, I have a feeling now fozziesov is back might see more of it.

RnK think outside the box and thats what I like about them, the fake tower was especially class.

All my views are my own - never be afraid to post with your main, unless you're going to post some dumb shit

Nice - wiki looks good.

I was in that fleet and remember flinching as the allied FC initiated gate-to-gate fleet-warp across about 100AUs of space. It was a simple decision but one that highlights something wonderful about EVE Online that one simple choice can result in the death of your fleet.
