Hey guys I'm a pretty new explorer running relic/data sites with the probe ship and I was wondering which minmatar T1 ship is a good ship to do combat sites with in high sec? I don't mind having to use two ships one for scanning and the for combat

I don't know much about it, but from what I remember, I only needed to pop frigs. I think you might get some with tougher overseers, not sure. Basically you need a ship that can pop frigs @~70km and then you're going to want good short range DPS for destroying structures.

For ded 1/2/3's the arty thrasher should do just fine, an arty rupture will work well for unrated and ded 4's. The stabber can fit a probe launcher and a combat fit but if you carry a mobile depot or just 2 fits and dock up to swap between probing and combat there's no need for it.

For an explorer, the Astero and Stratios can run the combat sites if you train drone skills.

(high sec exploration)

If I'm solo I run the Jackdaw (no worries about tracking and frigs getting under your guns)

When I dual box I bring a Stratios for sites that require a little bit more tank to blitz.

The T3 destroyers are amazing. I highly recommend trying them out. If they're a little too skill intensive you can try a Worm which I used before discovering the Jackdaw. Expensive but very effective and you can earn the isk back very easily.
