Compensation for lost days and time

I won't say that I feel entitled to anything and I'd be grateful if anything at all was given to players as a form of compensation, but I'd like to say that some of us actually pay RL money for the game time, using in-game bought PLEX only from time to time, or for dual training.

I understand people that feel they should be compensated for not being able to play for 1/2 day, even thought that doesn't exactly applies to me, as I was at work and therefore I wouldn't be playing anyway.

So do you want a cheque for the 25c? Can you afford food?
Do we need a PLEX4GOOD run to save you from poverty? Lol

The point of the compensation is a gesture of good faith for the inconvenience brought.
Whether it was directly fault of CCP or machine failure, it doesn't matter. It's just good business practice.

It's ok, you can stop be high and mighty now, God bless you have job and can afford 25c an hour.

Well yeah, but I meant that CCP makes money from people that put their credit card on the table to buy either game time or PLEX, not by people sitting in anoms for few hours to play for in-game moneyz.

Indirectly, they still pay. It's just someone else who pays for their subscription. PLEX isn't seeded by CCP but bought by players who sell it, so each PLEX which gets used is actually worth a bit more than the monthly sub to CCP.

People who sit in anoms for few hours to play for in-game moneyz are the reason other people put their credit card on the table to buy PLEX. Without the former there wouldn't be latter. So they still make money for NPC, arguably more because of PLEX IRL price compared to subscription price and the fact that ISK-rich players may sometimes hoard PLEX, making amount of money they bring to CCP per month of their bought game time even more than those who simply PLEX for time or pay sub.

Sure, they can't do that without those actually pulling a credit card, but without demand for PLEX that can't happen as well.

I don't understand how people can be actively paying for a service, not have access to said service, and then be called entitled when wanting some sort of compensation for the service they're paying for, but not getting.

Because they aren't entitled to a refund whatsoever and it is extremely childish and silly to demand half of 25c compensation, which costs CCP multiple tens of thousands.

No one deserves compensation and no one is entitled to one. If you believe otherwise, you've entitled yourself to it.

Care to link the part of the TOS or EULA where it is written reimbursement will be given for downtime?

If it's not there contractually, asking for it is acting like an entitled person. Saying thanks if they do give something in good faith is acting normally according to the agree upon contract.
