A question for the jita traders

So ive been trading for a while now, i don't station trade though i like to call my self a wholesaler i by goods in nearby systems for cheap and haul them back to jita(or have them hauled most of the time) and sell then with a large margin of profit. But Ive noticed something though. On the high turnover items the jita traders really like to go all out with the .01 isk wars which usually leads me to simply undercut them to the point where they lose money and i don't, but my question; is there a want for jita traders and wholesalers to cooperate in a mutually beneficial way(buy selling direct to the station traders) to end some of the .01 isk wars and in turn everybody makes more isk?

If this is already happening via chat channel or something, then forgive my ignorance and please point me in the right direction and ill be on my way.Lol

The list should be particularly suited for your needs. I notice that the sort of items sold there are traditionally not sold in bulk. Occasionally, you'll see vast orders for roid or moon minerals, but most is things like modules, ships, and manufacture components. Makes sense really.

It depends what you can do for me. In the near future I will be needing weekly supplies. If you can get them cheaply and on time then I have work for you. Fire me a line in-game and we'll see.

Why bother. I have thought about this a bit and it just never seems to make sense. Lets take an example.

You have a 20 Gyrostabilizer IIs. You can place them on the market and under cut the bids by 5% (you make 95%) of the jita price). Or you can sell them to a jita trader for 2.5% less than then market and make 97.5% of the market price ...but then why not skip the jita trader and just post them at 2.5% less than market yourself?

The issue is that the market is so efficient you are better off just placing your own orders unless you desperately need the cash at that moment. And for me, I don't see the point in buying bulk items off someone unless I am making at least 10% (really more). At which point why would that person even sell to me.

The bulk margin offers are generally so razor thin, I'm better off just buying up and reselling minerals or ruptures or some other thing.

Just one traders opinion.

Good Point, but you see i don't mind losing profit if it means i still make money but i don't have to babysit orders all day which is no fun to me, i want to spend more time actually trading, going out finding the deals and organizing the logistics to haul it back to jita or where ever it needs to go. Like you said matter of opinion, just hoping to find some like minded station traders i guess :D

and btw i am looking into the bulk trade mailing list. looks promising :)

And you'll magically make that 2.5% margin because you just so happen to have both the skills and the time to do what that Jita trader is doing. As I see it, instant sales and a slightly improved profit can be compelling for many manufacturers, haulers, and resellers.

^ yup it depends on how fast the turnover is for that item to make the low margin worth it.. and even then hopefully thats after the sales tax and broker fee you are talking about.
