everything a computer can do for you should not be done by humans anymore.....

So basically we should just pay an account and our chars are controlled by an AI while we just sit back and watch.

- Computer AI would be well capable of mining.
- AIs would be able to sell stuff.
- Porgrams can be written for Scam contracts and AIs could be written to fall for those scams once in a while.
- AIs would be able to fly around running missions or do any other form of ISK grinding.
........

Basically you are saying we should not make any input at all because a computerprogram could as well just handle it.

And all just because you are too lazy to do stuff yourself.

Great idea, Harry! Put some random people in a fleet without the need to ever talk to each other - what could possibly go wrong?

nothing, basic communication should be done over UI Buttons, ist also more a fun approach to fleetup, for sure People in Teams would be better but for randoms it would be a fun way to just join a fleet and see what happens

the system could create some mass fleets easy, pretty sure it would work, random people are put together in other games as well, it would not be tactically the best Team for sure but, fun along the way is what counts

Fleet commander wants fast ships, dudes bring dual-plated Megathrons. Fleet commander wants armor tank, dudes bring shield tank. That is of course, if there even is an FC, because nobody will want to FC this clusterfuck of random dudes. In the same vein, nobody ever will bring boosts or logistics, because the fleet will be mixed range, mixed prop, mixed tank kitchensink anyway. Apart from that ... Spies, Cyno Alts, even just a single Dictor could **** up a fleet real bad.I think it could be hilarious for a while, but I don't think it would get used much after the first few welps.

I don't Need a perfect fleet to have some fun, going out there with just 10 random People will still get me some kills at the end, sure when we run into an alliance fleet we would die but that happens... its more a fun Approach for fleets not to match alliances and stuff, find easyt targets and have fun thats all

Fun is the point of a game.

Fun is all that too many people have left in their lifes. Fun is becoming the centerpoint of attention, at the expense of much more satisfying feelings. No, fun is not the point of a game.Play Go once in a while. Or Space Invaders. Feeling prpud of beating a game beats shallow fun of succeeding any time.

Being centered around fun makes you an addict and not a valueable player of a game that has unparalelled depth like this one.

That is very true. However, 10 people, half of which are only here to backstab the others, that aren't even willing to talk to each other are most likely to kill nothing, but themselves, which - admittedly - is content too. But nobody in their right mind would want to be part of this. I think people would stick to the NPSI communities - most people in Eve aren't as socially inept as one might expect them to be.

you are basically right, i would put a system in place where you can Input what your ship should do, maybe make it possible to program your ship, this would be much more interesting to work on that vs. sitting infront of a pc and looking at a mining cycle... however some brains prefer to look at the mining cycle vs. programming a ship

I have an idea: Create a fleet, give it a descriptive name, make it open to everyone, put a fleet advert up and link it in jita local. Then tell us how it worked out. Better yet, record it and put it on youtube.

Most other games don't even have open world PvP these days. They are hardly comparable.

Well, that's certainly an interesting point of view you have there. I realise that people who perhaps haven't fulfilled their life goals might look to fulfill them in a virtual world instead, but I daresay most people don't take EVE that seriously.

no UI Buttons are there for communication, as well as the do not shoot fleetmember option is missing for that

I think you do not understand my idea

I want to compete with humans, not socially interact, i play a game for competition, a system needs to be in place to assure we can do that without social interaction needed... see it like chess, no stupid talk needed just the game and the rules and the humans that compete using those rules and systems

You can broadcast about everything that is important in a fleet: Warp to, Align to, In Position, Primary Target, Need Shield/Armor/Hull, ... what else would you want?

As for not being able to shoot each other: How would you handle Smart Bombs, Bombs, ECM Burst, Bubbles? Because one doesn't need to be able to shoot you, in order to **** you over.

Nonsense. If these people have or ever had actual life goals they wouldn't waste their time with shallowness and simplicity. With kicks that feed their egos. Try again, but harder.

chess requires brains, computers dont play chess for you or its pointless playing, strategy is the key to fleets and chess

Harry, what do you think about this: Being able to form a proper fleet is part of the competition.
