Whatever happens to be playing usually.
However I found that trance radio seems to go relatively nice.

Either electronic or metal.

By the way, since we're already talking, do you want to buy a rifter? I've got the cheapest rifters in Metropolis. If you can find a cheaper rifter, buy it!

I have heavy metal, country music with a bit of techno flavoured classical music mixed in, playing, when I play EVE. Although, sometimes I listen to Justice.

Always this one to reflect my success in EVE

Seriously, I often change "soundtracks", but I had great success with the Nick Cave soundtracks from The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and The Proposition

I actually do kind of enjoy the music in Eve more now than I used to. I don't know when it happened, but I generally leave it up where I can hear it at a pleasant level. Especially the main screen song, very cool.

There is only one soundtrack that is acceptable.

"Music is a mysterious thing. Sometimes it makes people remember things they do not expect. Many thoughts, feelings, memories... things almost forgotten... Regardless of whether the listener desires to remember or not." - Citan Uzuki, Xenogears

Hol Baumann is great. Here are some groups that fit with your tastes . . .

Burial
Clubroot
Autechre
Black Dog
Neue - ( not the prog rock band, but a new artist from portland) doing Holst's The Planets - you can listen to the album on soundcloud or even get it for free on bandcamp - never get tired of it.
Brian Eno
Loscil
Max Cooper
Jon Hopkins
Alva Noto
Murcof
Clint Mansel
Ben Frost
Casino Vs Japan
Mileu
Boards of Canada
Freescha

Some harder stuff would be things like ...
Hecq
Black Sun Empire
Flashbulb
Glitch Mob
