Tell me his name.
For a small fee, I can ensure he never bothers you again.

Alternatively, I can provide you VIP access to my own private chat channel for your privacy.
It can all be arranged....

Mkkkay. This is the problem here.

It was private by your own admission and did not belong to you and belonged to someone else by your own admission.

Therefore with it being private irrespective of how many years ago the "owner" created it.

Example

I have a property I own which came into my posession 5 years ago.

I let someone live in that property for two years

I decided to remove them from my property and continue to live in my property myself.

Does the previous tenant have a right to exclaim and spout profanities? No.

I have been kicked out of chat channels quite a few times.

I think it's the 120th rule of Eve... "Never log into a chat channel you can't afford to be kicked from."

This happened to me once but the owner didn't have admin, so I camped him in until he logged.

To think, we live in a time when the owner of a channel can afk for years then poof back and create such chaos. Next thing you know CCP will introduce Corp hangars that CEO's can cherrypick from at there own free will.

Signatures wer cooler when we couldn't remove them completely.

also when I started EVE, I didn't know people could own player made channels indefinitely. like classic battle.net people only were admin of private channels until they leave that channel..

why would this be a troll? I've been using the same private chat channel in any game that allows for it. in eve I've been using it for 2 years. I responded to the only decent reply. the guy who tried comparing it to real life and stating that's how it works in real life. I replied indicating that there's even laws in those real life situations that benefit the squatter. I've also pointed out that in any game I played, when the admin leaves the channel he loses admin access. why would someone get to own a private channel forever?

It's obvious to me you have zero concept of how self entitlement works with the younger crowd these days. You probably have a job and family that you love, protect and care for. Your children probably know that "no" is a word in the english language and quite possibley understand what it means. This makes you a cranky old bastard. Not a bad thing, but still a thing.
