UI window problem on undocking

Hi All!

I'm not a new player but this is kind of a new player question, as I've been doing a new thing with my UI that I saw another
player do recently.

My problem is this. I have my windows stacked and then minimized at the top of my screen. (See screenshot and expand)

Whenever I undock, it expands the windows so that every single time I undock, I have to minimize it again. May seem
kinda trivial but over the course of time it gets really annoying.

Can anyone help me out here, is there a certain thing I can do so that it doesn't maximize everytime I undock?

EDIT: I should also add that ONE TIME I was able to undock and the windows didn't maximize, so there IS a way, I just haven't been able to reproduce it.

Try undocking with each of the windows selected. Maybe with a certain window selected the stack does not maximize.

These are perhaps symptoms of a larger problem however: The game not properly recognizing window information during certain session changes. The drone window for instance. If you make your drone window as horizontally small as possible, it will stretch about 15% when you dock-undock. There are some other examples too.

Okay, I figured it out.

Coulda sworn I went through all the windows before, but I guess I didn't.

The solution is detaching the inventory window from the "bar" and operating it "manually". Undocking with it seperated keeps the "bar" minimized.

There are two window setups. One for in space, and one for when docked.
