There's a reason us old players and CCP don't get involved in all this skys falling bs. It's repetitive puke spewed by those who will one day become just as smug. Everythings fine; less space blanket, as the chemicals may be causing permanent damage~.

Edit: To be constructive,

Enjoy a mature game, with mature players being run by a mature company. This is a cool time to be playing Eve.

Learn mathematics and statistic cuz you clearly just look ignorant now that i called you out for picking ONE DATA POINT in months and saying Hey guys Look at this ONE OUTLYING Data Point. This is all that matters, ignore all the other concrete substantial data and 30day and 60day moving averages.

Just look at this one single data point.

Lol ignorant

30 days isn't good timeframe in this case because 30 days ago people already knew that they could as well don't bother 'till 14th. Not sure about 60. I'd say that we're still low on online compared to Inferno / Retribution.

Combination of less alts/bots due to ISBoxer rules changes and people going into hibernation awaiting FozzieSov.

I'm not worried. This game has plenty of Strontium Clathrates left in the servers.

Reminds me of a friend I work with. Every company we've worked at together has folded in under two years. There have been several victims.

Except the current company we are at, which will be 11 years for us.

Our only explanation is that we must really be slacking-off, but obviously not enough.

Cancel your EVE is dead parties. It refused to die once again.

It's almost as if people were waiting for the new sov system to drop, and now that it's about to drop the activity levels are coming back.

Nonsense, as some people's 'political' agenda requires EVE to be dying (said imminent death thus becoming a wedge that can be used to influence CCP to change the game to cater to the aforementioned [political agenda), EVE will continue to be dying till CCP responds with proper game changes, or at least until morale improves. Twisted

Probably people mass logging in their alts to transfer assets to their main char before those accounts run out to never be subbed again. Lol

We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid.

According to Eveoffine - the average since beginning of 2015 was 34k - so you are saying even with the dropping of a new expansion, etc. . . , it is still below average?!?! Doesn't sound good to me.

Unless fozziesov is evejesus the end of eve parties probably are going to be still "a planning."

Yeah not only that but there was less players online today then yesterday. That would lend credence to the idea that people logged in this past weekend and monday to GTFO of null before the patch, and we are returning to our weekly decline.

We didn't top 30k today. Probably going back on our regularly scheduled nose dive by the end of the month.

CCP Quant: Of all those who logon in Eve, 1.5% do Incursions, 13.8% PVP and 19.2% run Missions while 22.4% mine.

40.7% Join a fleet. The idea that Eve is a PVP game is false, the social fabric is in Missions and Mining.

You know you guys are amazing.

When we had a whopping 3500 peeps on at one time, everyone would run to the forums screaming "THE SERVERS ARE GOING TO BURN!!!!"

And the always accurate soothsayers wailing about saying that EvE would melt if we hit 7500, 10000, 15000 etc etc.

Same sht just different tinfoil hatters.

Compare and contrast these graphs.

EVE is a game that is in mid to late stage 4 of its life cycle, It has been around for years and it has definitely seen its peak and now the challenge is to slow the inevitable slide into decline.

It is an inevitability that every game must face , markets change and evolve and game makers must adapt to these changes or fall into obscurity.

Eh, the actual curve there is more complex than the model curve you linked though. If the downward trend in 2011 kept going then your curve would have fit it pretty damn nice, but there was a pick up there, and your curve doesn't actually fit well against that second wind. Just fixing ship balance, or making sov rewarding, or anything, may spark another wind into the user base. The players are there, they just need a reason to log in.

Yep, that's just peak logins, not active accounts. After all, this isn't a level progression grindy game. Back during the highest login peak, there also was no way to multi-train accounts, so more people had multi-accounts and logged them in at the same time. OMG EVE-Alts is dieing! w/e
This is more like what's needed: http://users.telenet.be/mmodata/Charts/Subs-2.png
But that's bad leverage for those that want to change EVE by alarmist nonsense.
