Wormhole drive

Navigation skill

5x training modifier

The ability to create a wormhole from one location to another, each rank increases the distance between openings.

Statistics/Info panel: each rank increases jump distance by 3-5 jumps per rank. Usable once per day (similar to infomorph).

Conclusion: Just like infomorph and jump clones this would allow you once per day to use a wormhole to portal yourself any where from 5 to 25 jumps saving you an entire days travel just about, in a game where wormholes do exist it seems stupid that a wormhole drive or a devise that creates a wormhole cant or hasnt been used to further enhance the player experiance.

there are also not enough navigation skills in the game so this would add another skillpoint sink on a skill that would really be good.

Thoughts ideas, this is something that all players would love, saving so much time and it would fit in the EVE lore since wormholes already exist making travel between 2 points much faster then having to go on a 25 jump run when the technology exists in science that would punch a hole in the universe connecting these 2 points together.\

you could also add a Concord disk or Charter only buy-able from npc vendors that wold "fuel/allow" wormhole activation, being another isk sink is needed in my opintion.

I would love this one:

God mode

Godly skills

10x training modifier

Allows your ship/pod to take no damage for 1 minute per level

Can i has it? In a game where people resurrect, it would be strange being forced to die everytime someone shoots you...

if it existed in science then "do it to it brother"

troll if you want but the tech should exist in a game as futuristic as EVE is.

So here goes the serious answer:

it would be a game-breaker skill, so it will never be implemented.

And if you read the EVE lore you will see that nobody has ever understood how wormholes work (or was that X3? i can't remember)

Why does it take you a whole day to go 5 to 25 jumps? I can do that in 5 to 25 minutes...

You are quite right, in EVE lore, even going back to the discovery of the original wormhole that led to New Eden, the 'original' humans still didn't understand how they worked.

Wuh... Huh... Thought I fell asleep and autopiloted into F&I again... then I realized OP just can't be arsed to read the forum titles.

Belongs in F&I along with the other terrible idea. And it's a terrible idea. Though I'd love being able to do my logistics runs to hisec in a full sized Freighter.

And as far as the in game rationale, drives such as what you suggest exist. They're called Jump Drives, and require special ships and fuel to use.

Well they do have that, called autopilot, who ever said taking a wormhole would be fast.

Also black ops can do that. There is too much tactical/strategic advantage with those easy far jumps, ships would have to be nerfed to allow that to happen or so.
