What little ship would you guys consider the best for this?

Something fast and maneuverable yet strong enough to make quick work of clone soldiers and or Mordus' ships in 0.2 , 0.1 systems?

That's what I've been using so far but their tanking abilities are kinda on the low side for the task at hand.

Gila will make short work of all but the Mordus BS. Not really sure what is required to kill that, Gila might be able to do it, haven't tried.

Don't use defensive mode. Use propulsion mode. You shouldn't be getting hit.

My pve ships tend to be PvP fit. So I would work off of the idea that you could end up tackled in a belt.....and base that decision on that frame of thought.

So I actually stumbled across one of those in my hull-tanked blaster vigilant yesterday. With 32k EHP and 920 DPS (794 with guns) cold, it's more gank than tank but still close to a brick vexor in EHP.

I was able to kill the Mordus BS, just BARELY. Came away with 2000/10000 structure remaining and heavy neutrons 84% damaged from heat. That means I was hitting it with 1050 DPS for more than half the fight. I had never faced one these before and they are vastly, vastly more dangerous than any clone soldier rat. Walked away with a Barghest BPC for my trouble, but for a moment I was honestly thinking I was about to lose a 350M ISK faction cruiser to the thing. Once you get through the shield buffer the armor/structure is much weaker but the shield is huge with high resists and decent active regen.

First experience with that, neat and lucrative content CCP added to lowsec, but I would recommend minimum 600 DPS with a huge buffer or a monster active tank (think Deimos); lower DPS will require stronger tank obviously. I was being volleyed for 400-700 through 60% omni-resists.

Mordus Special Warfare Unit (battleship) is no joke.
