62 cm (just over 2 feet) of hair donated today.
Sometimes those long haired gits you see have an alterior motive.

If you have friends or relatives who can spare 20cm+ (8 inches) of hair, then mention the possibility to them, please.

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

I grew up in a very conservative society, girls were not permitted hair long enough to touch their shoulders at school.
However, I had a hair dresser for over a decade, who had been around the world and said that if I ever can, I should grow my hair out for kids with leukemia. Her husband killed them both drunk driving shortly after that.
I might go through the hassle but she is the motivation.

You couldn't donate without parading it? Seems pretty vain to me.

Totally, that is why I included selfies of before, after, snap chats, tw*tters, farcebooks and everything else! Roll

... or maybe a bit of awareness and getting people to think about it a bit.

Don't listen and respond to stupid people who would never do this or anything else good anyway.

What's the use of donating hair? Maybe that's a language thing (english isn't my first language), but i don't quite understand.

Leukemia and the resulting treatment causes the patient's hair to fall out.
For little girls who love dolls and hair, this is particularly traumatic.
The donated hair gets turned into wigs, so they can look in a mirror and feel a little more normal than they did.

Oops I didn't know that. Oops
I can't donate hair, i'm a guy who prefers extreme short haircuts.
But some of the crew guys's girlfriends have long hair, i'll tell them.

Interestingly enough, here in Spain conservative women always have long hair... minimum to the shoulders, but rarely below the shoulder blades. Short hair is leftist, and very long hair is something that gipsies do! Lol

Yes, the other extreme was not permitted either, no crew cuts or such, shortest being a bob that ending just below the ears and always long enough to be tied up for sports.

Leukemia doesn't cause loss of hair, the poison they use to almost kill people to save them, does.

How does one donate their hair? I really don't know, but I want to do it.

Depends on the country you are in. In the UK you keep getting pushed toward Little Princesses, where they may or may not use your hair after sending it to China and will send you an impersonal e-mail saying that they received your donation.
Instead, I called up the local hospital, that has an oncology ward and spoke to the nurses there, they then directed me to a hair dressing salon that has a few who accept donations, which are then passed on to a local wig making company, (they make wigs for films and theatre.) From there, the hair is either used for a child or if they have too much for some crazy reason, they make a wig for sale, then those finacial proceeds go to charity.

TL;DR - Google, "leukemia hair donations" and you should get a local charity.
