Hecate on hi-sec 4/10

I have never done something over 3/10 in hi-sec which I did in my Vexor. I think it can't handle 4/10s. So has anyone tried doing 4/10s in Hecate, is it viable? If so what kind of fit? Or should I just bring my Mrymdion?

get a vexor navy and some sentries, can handle 4/10s with ease

I have done Serpentis 4 in an Astero multiple times, so I would hope it can handle that one. I hang out in Gallente space mostly, so not sure of its capabilities with the other factions.

I know the Astero is suboptimal, but I was in a perma wardecced corp, so would covops around and refit at the site with 2 blasters.

4-5 minutes from what I remember. I would kill the frigs and then fight the BS, the cruisers couldn't hit me. I wanted to use an Astero due to travel time and lower plexes with gate restrictions. Eventually I just started to use a Stratios, MUCH faster, but does have those limitations.

I just threw this together in a couple of minutes, I am sure you could make a better one, but with sharpshooter mode its hits for 248 at 54km. Keep transversal low and you could snipe targets. 434 with Javelin.

Hahaha. I've done the Serp 4/10 in a Confessor and a Svipul and easily tanked full room. I'm sure the Hecate can do it.

I was going to make a blaster fit Hecate and try one, just for the fun of it.
Edit: Was able to complete both a Gurista's and a Serpentis 4/10 with it.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Jackdaw works for pretty much everything as well. Haven't tried actually using guns, drones and missiles = mindless farming.

I did the Serpentis 4/10s in an Ishkur for a while, before I could fly HACs. A Hecate should work, as long as you keep moving and orbit something. Either go for a Blaster fit for close in-your-face-range or a rail fit for kiting. Both should work.

Keep Javelin or Navy Antimatter charges for your tanker targets and you will have no problems, I was able to to a Serpentis Vigil in this fit.

Railguns? Really? Put some blasters on that thing and go for some high DPS. Gank is tank.
