Not trying to start a fight here between people who think it's wrong and people who don't. I'm just curious, is it something that people only do to **** others off or can it actually be profitable? Anybody have any good stories about making off with some sizable loot due to suicide ganking?

suicide ganking has been repeatedly nerfed over the years but there are still people who run around in untanked t1 haulers with hundreds of millions of ISK in stuff.

It can be very profitable, though you need a friend/alt to scoop the loot after it explodes.

Fit a passive targeter, ship and cargo scanners to your T1 frigate. Hang out at a mission hub and scan all the ships that come and go. Tell yourself that it wouldn't be profitable ganking that officer-fit Golem.

Suicide ganking can be profitable, if you pick the right target. The hard part is finding the target (hint: look for the highest income space-combat professions in hisec), then getting a gang together to crack that nut open. The hard part about getting a gang together is the number of people scared of getting a scratch on their impeccable security record and tarnishing their reputation by engaging in PvP in a PvP game.

To make ISK you need to be ruthless. That's hard for some people.

The next best part about Perpetuum-Online.com is how friendly and helpful the community is.

I suppose he *could* be talking about the battle of serios ... too bad that they wised up and took down the old "home" page with the Nyx.

edit -- /me loves the wayback machine ^_^

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia
