Is there any plans on using newly presented 'Metal for Mac' in EVE Mac client to improve performance and visuals?

I wouldn't say never, but I would say don't hold your breath.

The Mac client is essentially the Windows client wrapped in WINE. It's not native. CCP only writes in DirectX.

I would say never, after all for CCP to use Metal, they would have to re-wite the game in something other than Direct X,
